Bakugou sighed as he got up from his desk, attempting to walk back to his dorm but stopped when he heard his name."Yo, Bakubro! Wait for me!" Kirishima said, practically running to the blond so he wouldn't leave him. "The class is talking about a party we're having tomorrow, so most of us are gonna meet up in the common room and plan. You gonna come?" The red head asked Bakugou, a pleading look in his eyes. Bakugou sighed once more before opening his mouth.
"I'd rather die than hang out with a bunch of extras." Bakugou scoffed, walking off to the dorms while Kirishima trailed after him.
"Please? You can hang out with Mina, Sero, Kaminari, and me!" Kirishima caught up to the angry teen, smiling at him.
"Why would I want to do that? Besides, I'm going to the park." Bakugou said, attempting to walk faster. Instead, Kirishima grabbed his arm, slowing him down.
"At least go to the party tomorrow." Kirishima rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand, making Bakugou's face heat up at how cute he thought the red head looked.
"Whatever!" Bakugou yanked his arm away, making Kirishima's smile return. He knew that whenever Bakugou said 'Whatever', it meant something along the lines of yes.
"I'll see ya when you get back, then!" Kirishima said, walking back to the classroom to walk with the people planning the party.
Bakugou internally groaned at the thought of a party at the dorms, knowing there would be alcohol and games involved. The thought that Kirishima would be there eased his mind a bit, though.
He continued walking, faster this time, until he got to the dorms. Being the first one there, he took off for the stairs. After climbing three flights of stairs, he walked into his room, which he shared with the red head he talked to earlier.
He started pulling off his school uniform, shoving on random clothes so he could go to the park. Once he was dressed, he walked back down the stairs and out the dorms, seeing some of his classmates just entering the building.
He continued towards the park, stuck in his thoughts.
Why the fuck do I even have to go to this party? I should've just told Shitty-Hair no. Bakugou groaned as he got to the park, admiring the cool weather as he sat on a bench.
His thoughts wandered, making him forget about the setting he was in, therefore not seeing the flash of light heading straight for him. Only when he got hit by said light, did he realize something had happened.
He immediately stood up, seeing something on his finger. He tried tugging at the red object, but stopped when he felt a sting in his finger.
"What the fuck?" The blond said as someone ran over to him.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hit you. I yelled for you to move, but I guess you didn't hear me." A girl said, waving her hands in front of her face as she spoke.
"Maybe you shouldn't be using it in public in the first place!" Bakugou yelled, not caring who heard their conversation.
"I don't know how to control my quirk yet, I swear!" The girl said, being more dramatic with her hand gestures than before.
"What even is your quirk?!" Bakugou scowled, making the girl stop moving her hands.
"Well, my quirk lets people see their 'Red String of Fate'. You know, the string that connects you to your soulmate?" The girl explained, making Bakugou groan.
"I know that story. But soulmates aren't real. Even if they are, I make my own fate. Not some stupid string!" Bakugou said, about to try to pull at the string again.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. That can cause you immense pain, and if you pull hard enough, can break your finger." The girl said, stopping Bakugou from what he was doing. "And not only can you now see yours, you can also see other peoples! But don't worry, you can walk through them. So don't worry about tripping." The girl said, avoiding eye contact with the blond.
"When will it wear off?" Bakugou asked, thinking about how he told Kirishima he would go to the party with him.
"In about a week. I can give you my number if you have any questions!" The girl smiled at the blond, making him roll his eyes before taking out his phone and handing it to the girl.
"You're a real pain. You better not text me, unless it's about this." Bakugou looked at his phone. "Blue? Your parents actually named you that?" Bakugou asked, looking at the girl again. He noticed the name matched the girls blue hair, which was obviously dyed from blonde.
"Nah, it's a nickname I got when I dyed my hair. My real name is Yuki. Call me whichever." Yuki said, smiling at him.
"Whatever, give me your phone." Bakugou said, holding out his hand. Yuki placed her phone in his hand, allowing him to type his number and name in.
"Alrighty, Bakugou. See ya whenever you text. Or call." She said, walking off. He groaned as he walked back to the dorms, staring at the string on his finger and all the red strings around him as he walked.
Once he got back, he tried not to make eye contact with anybody to avoid finding his soulmate. He knew he didn't want to find his soulmate. After all, he already liked somebody. Kirishima. And if his soulmate wasn't as good as him, he didn't want them.
He climbed the stairs, finally making it to the third floor and into his room. He laid on his bed for a few minutes before checking the time.
7:39PM
Shitty-Hair could be back any minute. Bakugou thought, biting his lip as he kicked the ladder to their bunk bed a bit. Bakugou had a habit of biting his lip when he was nervous.
A flood of anxious thoughts covered Bakugou's mind, but all stopped when a certain red head came in the room, smiling, as usual.
"Hey, Bakub-" Kirishima was cut off when Bakugou shot out of his bed, walking over to the red head. Something had caught his eye.
"Hold up your right hand." Bakugou said, a little too calm. When Kirishima did what he was told, Bakugou's eyes widened. Of all the thoughts that crossed his mind, none of them prepared him for what he saw.
"Get out." Bakugou whispered, but soon he was yelling. "Get out!" When Kirishima went to question him, he just yelled for him to get out again.
Once Kirishima finally left their room, Bakugou went back to his bed, covering himself up with his blanket as he thought about what he saw.
Is Kirishima really my soulmate?
