"Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm good, Nana's thrilled we're getting married but Aaliyah, not so much."

"Oh, ok then."

"She's been spending a lot of time round the community, it's about as serious as you said it would be. Elena's been arrested too and everyone blames me apart from Mantaz's people, the one's you didn't arrest who blame Ben. No one's seen him since the raid, she thinks it's a good idea I stay away but I'm so desperate to see Nana."

"I didn't arrest anyone, I wasn't even there remember? I certainly remember because we were doing this." The cops hand slid up Carla's shorts but was quickly swatted away. "How is Nana?"

"She's fine, she's been looking at selling the house and moving to a place with like assistance but not an old people's home. She felt like she lost control of her home after what happened, all because of me and she's a strong woman. She told me she knew I wasn't coming back the day I left and she doesn't blame me or you, she said she'd always known I'd leave one day, apparently I'm too good for that place."

"She has a point there, sensible woman our Nana. What happened to you was not your fault babe, I know you miss her, we can put her on a bus and meet somewhere and I can ask Rob to track her journey make sure she's not followed?"

"No we've promised each other we'll save it for the wedding so I hope you didn't want a long engagement."

"Do you fancy getting out of here?" The cop leant over and tucked a loose strand of Carla's hair back behind her ear.

"We can do that? It's not too dangerous?"

"We're not going to your neck of the woods or town, Rob's invited us over for Thai."

"Oh my god, you told him? What did he say? What did Abi say? Are they ok about it?"

"Why wouldn't they be ok about this? They love you."

"They barely know me and they were both really close to Amy and this is quick babe, believe me I've just listened to Aaliyah's optimistic opinion!"

The cop showed her the message from Rob, Carla placed the phone down on the bed with a big smile on her face that disappeared as she began worrying about what she was going to wear.

Thea had been waiting for her for around half an hour before her patience started wearing thin and her mind wandered to Amy. She had been the sort of person that was ready at the drop of a hat, bit of make-up and she was done, effortlessly stunning no matter what she wore and she knew it. Carla was also stunning but had no idea the effect she had on people unlike Thea's first wife. She smiled as it crossed her mind that the two great loves in her life would be so different in some ways and completely similar in others.

"Jeez Carla! Will you come on for the love of God! I've got to check the street yet!" She turned opposite and looked through the peephole to the outside world they had been hiding away from.

"Check the street? Won't Rob give you his address either?"

Thea couldn't think of a retort as she stood there with her mouth open staring and drooling at her fiancée. She didn't know how the younger woman had managed it but she made the most normal clothes she could find fucking sexy! She was pretty sure the white shirt that framed Carla's breasts was an old school shirt, it fit her fiancée so snugly Thea knew it had to be at least ten years old. The tight trousers were hers too and still appeared long on the shorter woman but this was helped exponentially by red heels she had found. Barely any bruising left on her face, she wore little makeup but still looked flawless.

"Wow! Let's stay in." Thea buried her head into the crook of Carla's neck and used her tongue to draw circles on her soft skin, she could feel Carla tilt her head ceasing her access.
