It was 8:05 pm.

Mark was trying his very best not to start panicking. Donghyuck wasn't here yet. Why wasn't he here yet?

Safe to say that Mark's strategy of not panicking wasn't going very well.

He had already come up with 87 and a half reasons why Donghyuck wasn't here and only 50 of them had to do with Donghyuck being kidnapped and held for ransom.

It was now 8:06 pm.

Mark had to come to terms with the fact that Donghyuck wasn't coming.

Mark sighed.

He was really looking forward to this date, mainly because he wanted to show Donghyuck that he was so much more than his reputation built him up to be.

Sure, that didn't really help the fact that he had literally slept with someone else and screamed out Donghyuck's name instead of confronting him about his feelings...But, that was in the past.

From the couch in the living room, Mark saw the flame of the candle on the table in the backyard flicker, threatening to extinguish itself and the only thought that ran through his head looking at it was, "Mood."

He stood up from the couch, going to blow the candle out himself. Just as he was walking through the french windows; the doorbell rang.

Outside, Donghyuck was resisting the urge to card his fingers through his hair in an attempt to curb his nerves.

He didn't want to admit that he had been standing outside the door of his own house for the last 10 minutes, trying to hype himself up to go inside.

Donghyuck was a mess of nerves and anxiety. He had been looking forward to this since he stepped out the door in the morning and all throughout the day. But as time went on, closer and closer to 8 pm, he started to get more and more nervous. He didn't know why it felt like everything was hanging in the balance all because of one date, but he wanted to find out.

Truth be told, Donghyuck wanted this date to go well. He knew that he already had a connection with Mark. They were friends (if he didn't count the first couple of weeks that they were at each other's throat).

It was 8:07 pm when Donghyuck rang the doorbell, already having practiced the countless ways he could say "hi".

Mark opened the door, taking a deep breath before he did.

"Hey," Donghyuck breathed out, drinking in the sight of Mark.

Mark stood there, looking at Donghyuck with wide eyes and a wide grin on his face, hair falling on his forehead, almost reaching his eyes. He was dressed in a short, black sleeved shirt tucked into denim blue jeans.

"We match," Was the first thing that Mark said to Donghyuck.

"What?" Donghyuck asked, tearing his eyes away from Mark's body and then looked down at himself.

Sure enough, Mark was right.

He was wearing black and blue and so was Donghyuck. His black crop top ended just as soon as his high waisted jeans started.

"Black and blue," Donghyuck said.

"You pull it off better than me though," Mark said with a nervous smile.
