Percy, let's break the fourth wall, shall we?

Gladly.
——————

The seven heroes were up on Olympus. They glanced at each other not knowing what to do. Well, all except Percy of course. You see, there was something different about this hero. The reason he was so powerful was because he was able to do something no one else can.

"You don't say," he mumbled. Annabeth raised an eyebrow at him. Percy flashed her a lopsided smile and she returned it. Back to before, he could break the fourth wall. In other words, he could communicate with the audience. In this case, the readers. Say hi, Percy.

The son of Poseidon stretched his arms and made a waving gesture before placing it down. "Demigods!" Zeus' loud voice boomed throughout the throne room. Percy and Annabeth rolled their eyes as they listened to him. "Without your help, we wouldn't have been able to defeat Gaia," he said it with much reluctance. Some gods nodded their heads in agreement while other remained neutral. Too arrogant for their own good.

He then proceeded to talk about how the gods could have also beaten Gaia. Percy had already tuned half of his mind out. He let himself wander in his mind palace. It was this place where he kept all his secrets, events and whatever. He was standing in a black abyss. A door materialised in front of him.

He walked towards it and took out the key he appeared in his hand. He was about to slot it in when he felt something. More like someone. "Times like these when I hope the author could help me," he muttered lowly. The presence was unfamiliar. He had all the gods' aura and presence memorised. This one was older. Much older than even Gaia herself.

A sword materialised in his hand as he turned around to face the person. Standing ten feet away from him was a man. He had black hair and silver eyes. The man glanced at him suspiciously and curiously. Percy doing the same thing. Strange thing was, he felt...familiar. Not as in the-memorised-aura familiar but the I-know-you-my-whole-life familiar.

The man took a step towards him but Percy didn't move back. "Who are you?" He asked. The man's eyes widened as recognition flashed across his eyes. Percy clutched his materialised sword in his hand tightly.

"Seth." Percy stumbled as he heard laughter. A woman's laughter. Blurry images appeared in his visions.

"You're doing great, sweetheart."

"When will daddy come back?"

"We love you. Never forget that."

Percy collapsed on his knees as his breathing became strained. "What was that?" He asked. The man took another hesitant step towards him. Percy glanced up at him as another image flashed by. This time, the man was inside. He was laughing and Percy felt small. He realised he was in a child's body. It wasn't just anyone's, but his.

"One day, you'll rule there." The man pointed out. Percy's head turned as he glanced a the man. "What about you and mama?" The voice was small and innocent. With a sudden realisation, it was his too. The man chuckled and it dissolved into nothing.

Percy looked around frantically. The man stood in front of him with pain in his eyes. "Seth, please. Don't you remember us?" He asked. Percy stared up at him. Seth. Why was it so familiar?

"Stay away from me," he managed to say before he grabbed onto the door and flung it open.

He shot open his eyes and staggered backwards. Zeus had just finish giving his speech. Everyone glanced at him as he remembered why he was doing here. He forced a grin. "My bad," he said sheepishly. The others turned from him as Zeus continued speaking.
