Wendy: (shakes head) No this just has to be one big misunderstanding, he must have some reason for all this he wouldn't just betray all of us like this.

Tears start to form in Wendy's eyes as she crumpled to her knees next to you. You didn't know how to comfort her on her partner's betrayal, out of everyone on the team Wendy had always been the one who made Tobias show any real emotion. The two of them were close but now it's come to this.

You and Wendy both look up to see a group of Grimm emerging from the trees behind the fairgrounds. The situation wasn't looking good, You and Izaya were too worn out and Wendy didn't seem like she was emotionally stable for a fight.

You followed his gaze to see the group of Grimm being hit by a stream of fire , followed by a familiar faces with a blonde Mohawk dashing and slashing the remaining Grimm.

Cardin: (notices you all) Wendy!? What the hell are you guys still doing out here?

                          
Cardin pushes past his teammates and rushes to quickly put his arms around Wendy. 

                          
Wendy: (wiping tears) That's a long story.

                          
Izaya: Good now that you guys are here, you can escort us back.

                          
Cardin: And who are you to give me orders?

                          
You: That's her brother.

                          
Cardin's face goes pale before he changes his tune.

                          
Cardin: (pounds chest) Don't worry we'll get you all to the docks safely, there are airship taking people to the city.

                          
Just then your scroll starts to go off, checking the number you saw that it was Weiss.

                          
You: (picking up) Weiss?

                          
Weiss: Y/n thank goodness we got you!

Weiss: Vlad helped them get away but we still haven't been able to reach them. We fear he's still fighting Adam.
