Arin wasn't sure if he was glad or not when Suzy agreed to the idea. He was still very much on the fence about it all, and despite agreeing he was still scared shitless about the whole thing. The vision of accidentally catching Suzy and Barry in the bedroom was way more terrifying though.

Until everything was sorted for the switch to happen life went on as normal, and Arin instead opted to focus on Kirby's recovery and keeping an eye on Dan while she was resting.

He also spent more frequent nights at Dan's house, giving Suzy and Barry the freedom to explore their new relationship. One such night, after an unusually taxing day of recording, Arin, by some series of events, found himself washing Dan's hair. The blind man was leaned over the side of his bathtub as Arin sat on the edge massaging the fruity smelling shampoo into his scalp. It was a relaxing experience for the both of them, and a welcome winding down from a hard day's work. Dan hummed contently as Arin worked away, unable to remember the last time someone did this for him.

"So, is this gonna become a regular thing or...?" he mumbled with a grin as Arin reached for the conditioner.

"Don't you only wash your hair like once every year?" Arin teased.

"Ha ha, very funny. But I could seriously get used to this."

Arin turned his head as he heard the door move to see a small black nose poking into the bathroom.

"Hey, we got a visitor," he remarked.

"Kirby?" Dan guessed with a smile, and hearing his voice Kirby pushed the door open further and padded inside.

She paused, sniffing the air before coming over and examining Dan's hair, smothered in foamy bubbles. Cautiously, she sniffed closer, accidentally inhaling bubbles and shaking her head suddenly and sneezing to get them out of her nose. Dan giggled, sitting up a little more as an idea entered his mind.

"Hey Arin, how about when you're done with me, we give this little lady a bath too?"

Kirby seemed to perk up at the word "bath", her tail beginning to wag. Yes please!

Arin laughed, shaking his head as he squirted some conditioner into his palm and put the bottle back on the side.

"Fine," he sighed.

"Yay! You hear that, girl?"

Kirby nudged his side with her nose as confirmation, though her happiness was interrupted a second later by another sneeze. She wasn't completely better from her infection, but she was getting better gradually and less lethargic every day.

Soon enough Arin was rinsing Dan's hair, laughing as droplets occasionally sprayed onto the floor, making Kirby jump as she waited patiently by their sides. He handed Dan a towel to rub his hair with before he looked down at Kirby.

"Am I picking you up or are you gonna get in yourself?" he asked her with a smirk at the small black dog.

Kirby snapped her attention up to him with bright eyes before standing up and excitedly padding over to the bath side. She pushed herself upwards, first hooking her front paws over the lid before hoisting herself in with a soft thud, tail wagging eagerly.

"Wait, you have dog shampoo, right?" Arin suddenly considered, turning to Dan who had perched on the toilet lid to dry his hair.

"Uh yeah, should be under the sink."

Arin crouched down and sure enough spotted a cute bottle with a paw print on the front, and grabbed it, quickly scanning over the guidelines. He then placed it to the side and turned on the shower head again to soak Kirby.

"How about you handle the shampoo and I do the water?" he suggested over his shoulder to Dan as Kirby stuck her tongue out in happiness at being washed.

"Sure, what do I do?"

Dan tossed the wet towel from his head, uncovering a mess of damp curls. He came to kneel beside Arin and allowed the bottle to be guided into his hand.

"Don't use too much, but just rub it in I guess. Try not to get it in her face too much though," Arin instructed.

"Got it."

Arin turned the water off and rubbed the top of Kirby's head affectionately, disturbing fur that had been laid flat by the water. Not that he didn't already adore her, but after spending more time at Dan's house Arin was beginning to feel a real bond with Kirby. He watched with a proud smile as Dan started applying the shampoo, feeling around the dog's frame with ease and somehow not missing a spot. Kirby also seemed to be enjoying it, despite the odd sneeze.

"I think that's enough. Wash your hands, I'll rinse her off," Arin said finally.

Ignoring Kirby's disappointed expression that her pampering was over, Arin washed all the bubbles away.

"I gotta say, this is one of our weirder date nights," Dan mused from the sink.

"Still fun though, right?"

"Anything's fun with you, big cat."

Arin made fake gagging sounds in response to that, causing Dan to laugh. The blind man playfully tossed his wet towel in Arin's direction, luckily managing to land it on his head.

"Fuck, babe, what was that for?" Arin cried.

"Don't diss my sappy compliments."

"I didn't diss any-- AH!" Arin shielded his face from the spray of water as Kirby shook herself. "I'M COVERED IN WET DOG NOW!"

Dan choked on laughter as Arin scrambled for a towel that wasn't wet.

"Good girl!" Dan giggled, reaching over and petting Kirby.

"Agh, that was horrible," Arin groaned.

"It's just water, sunshine," Dan pointed out softly.

A pause followed and Dan could practically feel Arin's death stare, and promptly started laughing again.

"You can dry her by yourself." Arin threw a towel into Dan's hands and left the room with exaggerated stomping footsteps.

Dan shook his head, beckoning Kirby to leave the bath so he could dry her.

"Drama queen..."

A/N: I'm only saying this so people don't get bored and leave (please don't) but we're in the home stretch with this one. I have like... 2 more chapters planned for this to wrap it up.

I know some people will be sad but I've milked this story so much and I just want it to be over so I can focus on other stories, and besides I don't have any more ideas for things to write here so it wouldn't be good quality if I continued
