'love is like a black hole, everything is dark'

The next few days after Kol's death were hectic for everyone except Thea. Whilst Klaus was off gallivanting round the French Quarter in search of Finn and his on-the-loose father, Thea had locked herself in the nursery with the twins - not wanting to leave their side. The Lockwood teen had busied herself with her children, catching up on the six months she'd missed as she tried not to drown in the pain of losing Kol for the second time.
However, after hours of playing and watching over them, Thea had reluctantly sent the twins off to the bayou with Hayley and Jackson so that she could focus on their current dilemma. Yesterday, when Klaus was confronting Finn, Freya had suddenly appeared out of the blue; trapping Finn's soul in a locket and offering both Klaus and Elijah her help. Thea had found it odd at first when Klaus had told her, not knowing whether to trust the witch - after all, they didn't know her; just because she carried the Mikaelson name, didn't mean she wasn't a threat.
However, the brunette was willing to give her a chance. She had done the same for both Finn and Kol when she first met them - it was only far to offer Freya the same chance. Which is why Thea and Klaus were now sat in the dining room, waiting for Elijah and Freya's arrival. Thea sipped on a glass of orange juice, just as Elijah entered the dining room.
"There you are, finally," Klaus muttered as he placed a hand on Thea's knee, looking up at his brother who stripped off his coat, hanging it over the coat rail before heading towards the table to join them. "I was delayed," Elijah responded casually as Klaus smiled back at him. "Our guest of honour will be here momentarily," the hybrid announced as Elijah looked back at him bemused.
"Strange, our house is conspicuously absent of our lupine guests. I do hope it wasn't on my account," Elijah retorted as Thea smiled at him, placing her glass of orange juice down. "Well, we shipped Hayley and Jackson off to the bayou with the twins and the rest of their werewolf brethren so that we can deal with the new madness unfolding in the Mikaelson Family drama in peace," the Lockwood teen informed him as Klaus smirked.
Elijah looked between the two soulmates suspiciously, "Rebekah's situation has taken a turn. We may need Freya's assistance. So, whatever you are planning here? Don't," the older Mikaelson ordered them causing Klaus to roll his eyes. "All I'm planning is a simple chat with a long-lost relative. You yourself said to hear her out," the hybrid reminded him as Elijah stared back at him in disbelief.
"And you yourself said that would be idiocy," Elijah retorted causing both soulmates to chuckle. "Did I?" Klaus asked with an amused smile, feigning as though he's straining to remember as Thea smirked teasingly, "well, it definitely sounds like you," the Lockwood teen commented, going along with his teasing as Elijah rolled his eyes at them both. "Regardless, on the off-chance Freya has some information that could protect our children, I'd prefer she share it on my terms," Klaus informed his brother, suddenly serious as he stood from his chair.
