"What do you want to know?" Thea gulped her wine and looked down at her feet, she'd prepared for this moment and in return she wanted intel on Elena. Not to use in the case but to reassure herself that the woman she loved was hers and only hers.

"When did you know you wanted to marry her?"

"Most people want to know how she died."

"I own a computer and have your real last name, I know how she died. That must have been awful but I think you've probably talked about that too much. I want to know about you and her."

"Why though? I'm not trying to be difficult, I'm just trying to work out how this is going to benefit either of us."

"I want to be your future Thea, I've had enough messing about and I love you. I can't be your future without knowing what makes you, you. Amy was a big part of your life which means she'll be a big part of our life and I just want to know her I guess."

The cop gently cupped her face in her hands and kissed her meaningfully, warmed by her words. How could this young woman be so perfect? She let her go and got comfortable, half led on the mattress and beckoned for Carla to lean into her which she did unwaveringly, she held her close and stroked the soft skin on her shoulder.

"I suppose I knew I wanted to marry her the night I met her, it was a bit like you and me, pretty much instant. I asked her to marry me on holiday, she got food poisoning on the first night, I'd planned this big thing, nice restaurant with a view and in the end we got engaged over a toilet bowl of vomit. We'd been together about three years by then, she was hesitant because I was young and jealous, she was bisexual and stunning so it was a bit turbulent in the beginning. We worked a lot and I regret that but it's taught me something that I have to focus on in our relationship. Work is nothing compared to how you make me feel and I need you to know that. I was a cop first and foremost but I'd give it all up to make sure you are safe and happy like I should've done with Amy."

She lifted her head off the cops shoulder and looked into her love filled eyes. Unable to restrain herself she wrapped her arms around the taller woman's neck and kissed her, letting her tongue explore her mouth without restraint, showing her how much she was wanted. After a while she pulled away so they could catch their breath.

"Thank you for talking to me, I spend a lot of my time wondering what your thinking and what your life was like before."

"I'll tell you anything you want to know. It's so nice to just be completely honest with you. Is it alright if I ask you about Elena? She erm, she looked like she was still into you a lot at the club. I know she's involved, she participates in cleaning the money, I just don't understand how you can have an affair with this woman and it not come up. I'm not judging I'm just-"

"Trying to understand." She interrupted while stroking Thea's neck causing goosebumps to appear on the smooth skin. "We only really discussed her marriage problems but in all honesty we didn't do much talking."

The cop flinched at the thought of the woman she loved in bed with the stereotypical gangsters moll that was Elena Montaz. It no longer made her feel turned on or excited, it made her feel sick but she tried to hide this reaction from Carla, not very well however.

"I'm sorry if that makes you uncomfortable." She continued, her cheeks a deep shade of red. "I was stupid and didn't think of the consequences, I was completely blinded by her and her lifestyle I suppose. There was sexual chemistry but there was never any question about love, she was never mine to love. It was exciting and dirty but I wouldn't do it again, there's no fun in being the dirty mistress. I promise you I never asked where her money came from, I knew Tony wasn't legit obviously but I was never interested in the details. I don't know if you can tell by my face but I've never got involved with my brothers business like this before either."
