AHSOKA TANO

Ahsoka could feel Lux’s pain. Up until that point, she hadn’t realized that she was drawing the pain of being electrocuted into herself, to make his experience more bearable.

She almost cried out, but gritted her teeth against it, and kept it going. Lightening, as Ahsoka had come to realize, could either potentially harm, or heal. In this case, she was healing. She was using electricity to get the Dark Side’s influence out of him. It was painful, but it would always be painful to try to do this.

Suddenly, she felt Darth Vader move to get behind her. But before his lightsaber could reach her shoulder, she reached out with the other hand, and caught him in the lightening rays as well.

She wanted to let him feel the pain. Oh, how she wanted to. But that was a path to the Dark Side, so she drew it inside her as well. The combination of both of their agony was almost enough to make her stop. Almost.

Ahsoka kept it going for as long as she dared, which was even longer than Count Dooku had been able to go back on the Separatist cruiser, back to a time that felt like years ago. But soon, she had reached the point when she was to stop.

She fell to the ground, gasping. She would have blacked out, but a little part of her reminded her that she would have to get Lux out of there before Darth Vader regained consciousness. Looking at the vents, she had an idea.

“Wow, you’re heavy,” she said to herself as she attempted to drag Lux through the ventilation shaft and towards the airlock. But then, a thought occurred to her, making her slap her forehead.

Ugh! I am so stupid! She thought. Of course Lux isn’t going to fit into the tie fighter with me flying it!

Sighing loudly, she turned around, and proceeded to drag him off in the opposite direction. She would have to hijack a shuttle.

After a lot of dragging, banging her head, and cursing as a result, Ahsoka finally made it to the other side of the ship, where she knew from her life as a padawan that the main hangar was located. She took the cover off of the ventilation shaft, and cautiously peeked out.

There were few Storm Troopers about, thank the Force, and no one was guarding the two shuttles that stood there. Pulling the unconscious Lux out of the vent, she then jumped down from the walkway so that she was next to the shuttle.

She focused the Force towards him, and, concentration hard, she lifted him from the walkway and brought him slowly down to her. Hiding him in a quiet corner, she pressed her lips to his briefly, went to get the shuttle ready.

Darting across the hangar, she pushed the button to open the hatch. But running footsteps distracted her.

“Hey, you! Stop!” called a Storm Trooper.
