Hanahaki Disease - an illness born from unrequited love, where the patient's throat will fill up with flower, they will then proceed to throw, and cough out the petals, (sometimes even the flowers). One of the only ways for the disease to 'disappear' is if, the said person returns the feeling (it can't be resolved with friendship, it has to be genuine feelings of love). The infection can also be removed through surgery, though the feelings disappear along with the petals. If they choose neither options, or the feeling is not returned in time, then the patient's lungs will fill up with flowers, and will eventually suffocate. You watch Giyu as he train hard even after becoming a Pillar. come to think of it, it seems like your whole life you've been watching him, you've seen him cried, happy, angry, when he broke down or even when he gave up. The whole chapter of his life you've been beside him and supported him every time.
                          
"(Y/N)" you were cut off your daydream as Giyu approach you and called out your name
                          
"You're working so hard, you should take a break, want to hang out today?" you asked smiling at him, Giyu slightly smiled and ruffled your head. having been grown up together, you and Giyu treat each other like real siblings.
                          
"that sounds good, but not today I'm meeting up with (random woman's name)" he said, that time it didn't effect you at all, you were actually happy that he finally found someone he can open up to other than you.
                          
"that's too bad, next time then" you happily said as you wave goodbye to Giyu who turned around to leave, as you follow his back retreating from a distance, you notice the woman he mentioned about, they look really happy.
                          
As you happily watch the couple from a distance you felt a thug on your heart, you clutch your clothes near your heart and felt that tears was falling from your eyes.
                          
"what's wrong with me?" you softly whispered as you blinked away the tears and look at the couple and notice that they were holding hands, your chest intensifying in pain.
                          
Suddenly you start coughing and after struggling to clear your air way, a bloody blue petal come out, as you stare at it, realization hit you.
                          
"are you kidding me" you asked to yourself in disbelief, all this time, it was not brotherly love you felt but rather romantic love and it took a disease for you to realize that you love him.
                          
at least 2 months later, your condition worsened, nobody realize it except for Shinobu and Oyakata-sama, after begging them to keep it a secret which they reluctantly agreed to.
                          
"(Y/N), you know theirs a cure to that disease" Shinobu said as he look at you with her usual expression, but held worry and pity on her eyes.
                          
"I know...but, I don't want my feelings to disappear, for me...this feelings are more important the anything else" you explained as the sudden urge to cough bubbles in your throat. 
                          
"If you ever change your mind, you know where to find me" Shinobu said as she leave you to rest. ever since the Oyakata-sama found out of your sickness, he made you rest and didn't gave you any missions, so you spend your days resting or wandering around the estate.
                          
You were walking around the estate when you had a fit of coughing and vomiting bloody blue petals, you slump on the ground trying to catch your breath, as you hold on the wall for support.
                          
"Are you okay?" a soft voice called, when you turned around it was Giyu's girlfriend. she helped you up and led you on one of the benches.
                          
"You're so nice, now I see why Giyu loves you so much" you said as you stare at her, weakly chuckling
