Game over, heroes!

                                    

                                          
Eggman wants to do a fist pump but Rouge's wailing is a real buzz kill.
                          
"Ya know, all her bawling is really taking the wind out of my sails for annihilating that little punk."
                          
Tails explains remorsefully.
                          
"That was their son, he came from the future!"
                          
Eggman is puzzled. 
                          
"Huh? Those two had a kid? Okay, I'll buy it. That explains why he wanted to use the TXP." 
                          
Amy whips out her hammer, ready to go ballistic. 
                          
"You're gonna pay for this!"
                          
But Rouge beats Amy to it with a blind rage. She torpedoes at Eggman and tackles him.
                          
"You murdered my baby! I'LL KILL YOU!!!" 
                          
Punch. Kick. Scream. 
                          
"She's serious!" Tails cries.
                          
Team Sonic rips Rouge off of Eggman and pins her down on her back. She grunts and tries to squirm. Eggman brushes himself off and stands over Rouge.
                          
"I'm ever so sorry batgirl, but let's look at the facts, you all broke in and I was just defending myself and my property. Think of how a court of law will interpret the situation. Not in your favor, that's for sure... especially since the judge is one of my robots."
                          
Sonic zooms right up in Eggman's face.
                          
"Leave her alone! This time you've gone way too far!"
                          
Eggman snaps back.
                          
"Wrong, you blue rat! Wanna watch the play by play of this whole kerfuffle from my security cameras? You attacked me!"
                          
Shadow wants quiet, everyone's arguing is only making it worse. 
                          
"Enough of this," he says woefully then picks Silver up and Chaos Controls them both away.
                          
Rouge shrieks, trying to break free. 
                          
"Eggman must DIE!"
                          
Eggman laughs. 
                          
"Ha! Whatchu all gonna do, let her kill me? Then she'll be no better than I am. Is that what you want? For her to be in the wrong? Maybe go to prison for life? Face it, heroes, this time, evil wins!"
                          
Sonic wants to scream tragically but instead tells his team... 
                          
"Come on guys, let's get Rouge somewhere safe before anyone else gets hurt!"
                          
The team collectively drags Rouge outside of the lair, kicking and screaming. Eggman calls out with the upmost pride in his glorious, evil achievement.
                          
"In your lame, do-gooder faces! Doctor Eggman is officially the new grand champion!" 
                          
Outside, Rouge breaks free and tries to fly back inside but the door slides shut. She punches it wildly.
                          
"No no no no no! You can't get away with this, you can't!"
                          
Knuckles rushes to her. 
                          
"I'm sorry, Queen Bee. I'd give you a do over if I could!" 
                          
She falls into his arms. 
                          
"Last time I held him, he was a healthy baby, filled with life!"
                          
Amy and Sticks begin to cry.
                          
She sobs, "Today he's all grown up and dead in my arms?!" Gasp. "NO!"
                          
Knuckles squeezes her real tight and cries too. Sonic's communicator beeps. He reads a message from Shadow.
                          
"Volcano. Can't do this alone."
                          
"I'm sorry but Shadow needs my help at the volcano!" 
                          
He zooms off as it begins to drizzle.
