Marvin swallowed, "W-what do you think he used them for?"

Jackie looked around the bathroom but they both knew it was clear.

The bathroom mirror had a small crack on it as if Anti had hit it. There were markings all over the bathroom wall and dents as if he had punched them. Jackie pulled back the shower curtain to see small flecks of blood stains on the bathtub in the crevices of the cocking.

Anti had hurt himself more than once locked up here.

Jackie sat on the edge of the bathtub with his head down, "We know now that Anti had tried to kill himself that Halloween night. It's . . . .really not a surprise that he'd try to hurt himself here. Wonder why. . . . wonder why he didn't . . .. He was alone. Why would he"

Marvin sat next to him and hugged him, "I don't know, Jackie. Maybe Anti doesn't even know. It's clear though that something's been hurting him."

"Yeah and that something was us"

"We're not the only ones at fault. Sean is most at fault here. He was so afraid of what Anti did to himself, seeing what he could do without regret. It drove him to lock Anti up and I don't know how but my guess is that Sean knew Anti wouldn't try and kill himself again. That's clear when he was threatening to send him to the void."

"Why did he do it the first time, though? We weren't that bad to him, were we?" Jackie knew the answer though. Yes. Yes they were.

"It doesn't matter now. He's in pain. He's been lashing out out of a protective instinct for himself. He rejects any affection given to him now. You were right when you called him feral. I don't know if he'll ever forgive us and frankly, he doesn't have to. I wouldn't blame him."

There was silence between the two egos before Jackie spoke up again, "Before, you weren't sure of whether or not Anti meant to kill those people or not. Have your thoughts changed?"

Marvin nodded, "It's very clear now. Whatever Anti did when escaping, he didn't mean to do it. I don't think he even knows. Should we tell him?"

"No." Jackie shook his head, "No. If we do they it would only make him think that he really is a monster. And then he'd probably tell Sean out of spite just to get punished for it. He wants the pain. It's obvious from the different types of knives he has in that drawer. Why else would he use a serrated steak knife on himself?"

"Okay" Marvin sighed, "Okay. . . . . we should probably get going back. There isn't much here to take with us"

Agreeing, Jackie stood back up and they went back into the living room with the small pile of items, a drawer and the chair. In silence, Marvin teleported them back home to Anti's room and set down the things. Jackie put his clothes in the drawer but took his phone and computer in his hands, "I'm going to take these down to him and then later tonight he'll be able to sleep in here. We should open the vents in here, too so it can start getting warm in here for him."

Marvin did just that as Jackie left to Henrik's office.

When he entered, he found Anti sleeping and Henrik was working on some paperwork at his desk. Chase was in a chair on the other side of the bed. He had his arms crossed and his head down. It seemed he had nodded off as well while looking after him.

Henrik looked over at him curiously, "Done already? Zhat was quick."

Jackie nodded, "I brought is phone and computer for him. Figured when he woke up, he'd be bored. Could have used it yesterday, huh?"

"Good idea. I think Chase might be driving him more insane than usual. He'll need a getaway"

"I'll. . . .I'm gonna wait for him to wake if that's already Henrik."
