Chapter 1
Notes: After to get some of these "OWBOO" done I will have a vote to see which ones you want a continuation for first! Some may not end up even thought of as a candidate and some will be getting a story of their own either way. These chapters will either be sneakpeeks or fragments!
"Nedzu, sir, please!" Hatsume Mei pleaded. Nedzu, since his curiosity is so high, eventually caved and set up meetings on Saturday for the Support student to show her machine to the first years, teachers, and Big Three, as well as any others who decided to come.
It was quite interesting the first meeting, everyone was confused as to why they were in the auditorium on a weekend with a odd girl laughing by a machine. They all thought it couldn't get weirder, and oh how hey were wrong.
"HELLO EVERYONE! I'm Hatsume Mei and I created a way to look into different universes! May I have a volunteer to try?" the pink-haired girl announced. When nobody's hand went up, she searched the crowd before settling on a familiar clump of green hair. Everyone was already looking at him, so it came to no shock but himself when Midoriya Izuku was called forward as the test subject.
"Of course," he mumbled sadly as he went in the stage, sweating due to all eyes being on the boy. "What do I need to do?"
Mei smiled mischievously, "Just lay down, I'll strap you in."
That's what happened, and when the cap went onto Izuku's head, he passed out. The machine just works that way. Mei typed some stuff into a computer before turning to the audience with her hand above a large button.
"With this, we can now see what may have happened if their were different circumstances in Midoriya Izuku's life! These are random, so I can't exactly say what will happen. But, once they have been played once we can always go back to them. With that...let's start!" Mei shouted as she slammed her hand down, causing the projector to sputter into life.

Quiet hummed was heard as the camera focused on two figures. That of a green-haired boy and a small girl with a horn. The boy, who seemed to be older, was curled around the child, rocking while she cried into his chest. After the girl calmed down, there was a mumbled whisper from her.
"Eri?" the greenette spoke, a worried loon in his eyes. "Can you look at me? I can't hear you like that."
"Why do you smile?" the girl, Eri, asked. She was confused as to why Deku smiled in a horrid place like this. She may have been unsettled by it, but the smile was oddly comforting.
The greenette, Deku, let out a pained laugh before letting a playful grin cross his face. "It's to mess with the nurses. They don't expect to see someone smiling, so, they think I'm crazy. They're not far off, but the thing is...they think I'll snap. And they believe when I snap they'll be my target if they hurt you, the only one I obviously care about in this hellhole."
Deku let that settle in to the white-haired girl. When she got the info stored, she nodded as a prompt for him to continue. She's smart, even if she never had proper schooling. So what if she can't do math when she can look at you and see exactly what type of person you are? It's a useful skill to have in the Underground.
"This makes them wary to hurt you, and for good reason. It's said that if pushed hard enough the quirkless can develop very strong quirks. The nurses feel like if you get hurt, I'll get dangerous. They don't want that. So, I smile to protect you. From the gloomy world we live in to the people we stay with."
Eri's eyes widened when Deku finished. But she was confused by one thing, "Why don't you tell me to smile all the time then?"
The older kid looked like he knew she'd ask this, hugging her closer. "That would make you a liar. You are still new, you haven't done anything wrong. I don't want to make you go through the pain of putting on a fake smile just for my comfort. If you smiled all the time, I'd never know when to help you. It's a hero's job to smile, not a civilian's."
Eri smiled, not just for Deku, but herself as well. He really is amazing, she thought, looking at the boy she considered her big brother.
Deku returned her smile as they started to drift off.
Smiles really do make a difference...]
The crowd was dead silent the entire time, the universe infront of them making some tear up. Izuku really is quite a hero...
...but what did he mean when he implied he didn't have a quirk?
