21 - Let's Get Personal

                                    

                                          
They had been hiking uphill for a while now, and everyone was famished. Red kept looking at Shayne and licking her bloodied lips. Out of fear, he clung onto Courtney's hand, his blue eyes wide.
                          
She felt her face get warm, but secretly loved holding his hand. "Red," Courtney asked nervously, "do you know any edible plants that we could eat?"
                          
"No," Red answered. "I don't know plants because I don't eat them." she spat up more blood but held her hands over her mouth so she didn't have to spray them again.
                          
"Are we almost out of here?" Shayne asked.
                          
"I believe so... we might have to sleep here for the night, though. Start searching for caves, or... something." she began to scope out any possible resting places.
                          
Shayne peered through the trees to see that the sun wasn't setting, although it was dim in the forest. "So it'll take this entire day to get out of the forest?"
                          
Red swallowed, then sighed. "No, I just... I like it here, in the woods with you two, even if I am really hungry." she looked down. "No one really ever talks to me. They just... stay away because they think I'll kill them or spit up on them." she spat up more blood. "Sorry," she mumbled.
                          
"Is the other reason because you hate sunlight?" Shayne asked.
                          
"Yeah, that too," she agreed.
                          
"We need to get out of here and go find our friends," Courtney begged her. "Some of them... well, some aren't in good shape and we don't know where the heck they are."
                          
"Can you... can you tell me about them?" she asked Courtney quietly.
                          
"Yeah. Yeah, sure." Courtney thought for a while. "Well, there's Damien, he's newer," she started, "and he's funny and was on Disney Channel with Shayne. He is really talented and has a bunch of different voices and characters that make us all crack up."
                          
Shayne smiled sadly. He missed Damien. Heck, he missed everyone.
                          
"There's Ian," Courtney smiled, "he's kind of like our 'Papa'. He and his best friend started Smosh, which is the channel we're all in together. He calls me Court Bourt and his 'work sister'. He's pretty awesome and just participates in everything. He also is completely hilarious."
                          
"They all are," Shayne added.
                          
"Olivia is my girl," Courtney smiled. "She is silly and quirky and we all love her to death. She has hilarious ideas. We did sleepovers together and invited a bunch of different people. She is insane, but she doesn't care. She always says what needs to be said."
                          
"Sounds like you have a lot of fun together," Red remarked quietly, jealous.
                          
"There's Noah," Courtney added, "and he is very smart, creative, he has the strangest ideas and always knows what it takes to make us laugh. He really commits to everything he does and he and Keith make the best duo. They even ship themselves, sometimes." she laughed sadly.
                          
"Keith is just hilarious. He has a bunch of different characters and also shows how committed he is every day. In every Try Not To Laugh video he has to get wet. He is so jumpy and a scaredy-cat at times and is extremely immature, but in the best way. He does get annoyed a lot and he is also extremely inappropriate at times."
                          
"We all are," Shayne chuckled.
                          
"They sound incredible," Red sighed dreamily.
                          
"They are," Shayne and Courtney replied together, sadly.
                          
"Sucks that the one time I meet them, they're donating me," Red pointed out. "I never really got to know any of you."
                          
"I hope they're okay," Shayne worried aloud.
