Ever since the moment Hoseok refused to let Taehyung go even after the latter had repaid his debts by working for Hoseok for three years, Taehyung had gotten the police involved. The police had been on Hoseok's trail for years now, trying to put him behind bars but Hoseok always managed to evade them, so when Taehyung approached the authorities stating that he could help bring down Mr. Sunshine himself, the authorities were more than willing to work with him.

They struck a deal; Taehyung would help bring down the almighty mafia leader and in return, he would be acquitted of all the crimes he had committed while working under Taehyung. That was how the Calvary was formed; a group of highly trained police officers working together to bring down the ever-elusive mafia leader.

The reason Taehyung went into the mafia leader's home first instead of originally sending in the Calvary was to get a sense of how many men were in the house at the time, where they were positioned around the house, and how many visible guns they had, so he and the Calvary could devise a sensible plan of action instead of going in blind.

After briefing the Calvary on who was where inside the house, the war was almost instant. As soon as on of Hoseok's men identified the police as police, he notified the others and shots were fired from both ends.

As the shootout continued between the cops and members of the mafia, Taehyung headed in the direction of the torture chamber again, in hopes of being able to save Jin this time. He knew the mafia leader must have heard the endless gunshots sounding off in his house so Taehyung hoped that that was enough to worry Mr.Sunshine and throw him off his fighting game so if they battled it out again, Taehyung would have an advantage over the mafia leader.

When Taehyung reaches the torture chamber there were no guards in front of it like there were earlier. Still, Taehyung couldn't risk it. He took out the gun he had tucked into the waist of his pants and turned off the safety before bursting through the door, his hands shooting up and his finger of the trigger.

He saw no sign of life in the room except for Jin who was barely breathing and bleeding out on the chair. He figured Hoseok and Namjoon must have left when they heard what all that ruckus was about. It was safe to say that neither of them fancied torturing Jin longer only to get caught by the police so they left Jin there and escaped.

Taehyung quickly ran to Jin. The moment he unclamped the restrictions that bound Jin to the chair by his wrists and ankles, Jin fell forward limply but Taehyung was quick to catch the younger.

He picked him up bridal style and headed for the door.

"Jin? Seokjin?" Taehyung called but the younger was unresponsive. Taehyung was worried; he would have been even more so but he could hear the faint, weak breathing of the younger which somewhat placated his nerves, even if it was just a little.

At least Seokjin is still alive.

By the time Taehyung got back to the entrance, the shooting was over and multiple dead bodies were splayed across the floor; some were mafia members and others were cops but there were way more dead mafia than dead cops which left Taehyung to assume that the police had been successful.

When Taehyung got outside, he saw the head of the task force standing in front of the house still on high alert. He knew he was waiting for him but also didn't want any unpleasant mafia surprises coming through that door instead of Taehyung which was why the guy still had his gun in his hand.

"Officer Jeon," Taehyung called as he walked out of the house with Jin in his arms, "did you capture Mr. Sunshine?" He asked, hoping that as the mafia leader tried to escape, the cops had gotten to him.

"Unfortunately not, he escaped before we could get our hands on him, but I have some of my men searching for him as we speak and I've already call in his escape. We're bound to hear something soon" Officer Jeon responded before his eyes lowered to the body in Taehyung's arms.

"Is that him? They guy you love?" Officer Jeon asked as he opened the backseat door of his car for Taehyung. It was very obvious that he would need to drive them to the hospital.

Throughout the time that Taehyung had been working with this task force, he and Officer Jeon had become friends and Taehyung had confided in the latter about Jin and what the younger meant to him. Furthermore, when Mr. Sunshine captured Jin, officer Jeon was the first person that Taehyung had called which was why they decided to attack the mafia leader's abode today.

"Yes" Taehyung responded as he placed Jin laying down in the backseat of the car before sitting and placing Jin's head in his lap.

"Is he still..." Jungkook asked, considering how bad the younger looked. Although he didn't complete his sentence, Taehyung knew what the officer had been trying to ask

"Yes, he's still alive, but he won't be for long if we don't get him to a hospital ASAP"

And with that, Jungkook hopped into his car, started the engine, and sped off toward the nearest hospital.
