*3rd Person POV*
It has been a couple of days since Magneto's speech and Mystique's 'saving the day' moment. The future war with the advanced sentinels never happened and they live content now. In peace.
It has also been a couple of days since Y/n and Peter agreed to find their father. No matter how long it took, they would find him eventually.
Y/n had went to the mansion to get her things from Charles. And she found quite the surprise when she got there.
*Flashback*
Y/n had driven to the mansion in New York to get her things. On her way there she thought of saying goodbye to Charles and Hank when she got there. She started to tear up. They have taken care of her for the past 5 years, and she owes it to them.
Y/n pulled into the driveway and got out. She walked up to the door and knocked. Hank had answered the door.
"Y/n hey, what are you doing here?"
"I am here to get my things."
Hank let her in,
"So you're going to stay with your brother and sister now?"
"Yeah pretty much. I mean I have only known my sister for a few days and I would like to get to know her more and Peter... he's my twin and we know more things about each other than we know about our selves."
"Y/n, what are you doing here?"
She looked up to see Charles in his wheelchair and with nicer clothes and groomed hair. She smiled.
"I am here to get my things."
"Y/n you know where your room is, I will talk to you once you get back down here. I may have an offer you might like."
"Okay, well I will be right back."
Y/n went to her room and started to pack. She didn't have much, just a few pairs of clothes, pj's and one pair of shoes. She unzipped her bag and packed. 'I need to go shopping soon. This is not enough clothes.' She thought to herself.
When Y/n was done packing she grabbed her bag and headed downstairs. She met up with Hank and Charles in the kitchen.
"Okay, I got everything. What did you want to offer me Charles?"
"Well, I have my powers back now and I would like to open up the school again. I was thinking, if you and Peter would like to be some of the first students to attend the school?"
Y/n thought for a moment. She wanted to got to a school for mutants, but she had to find her father.
"I'm sorry Charles, but I don't think I can. I would like to spend more time with my siblings back in D.C."
"I understand. The school is open for you anytime, I will keep your room for you if you ever decide to come back."
"Thank you, Charles and Hank for letting me stay here for the past years. You let me stay even when I thought I was lost and you kept me here. You put up with my nightmares and mood swings. I thank you and if my mom was here right now she would be endlessly thanking you. So, one day that room might be filled."
Y/n was crying now. She hugged Hank first and then Charles. She said thank you one last time and left.
Little did she know, Charles knew exactly why she wanted to stay in D.C. Although, he knew, he kept his lips sealed.
*End Flashback*
Y/n now lives in the basement with Peter and turned their old room into a guest room. She was happy knowing that she wasn't alone in the world. That she wasn't the only mutant. She had Magda, Lorna, and her brother, Peter.
Even though he might be an asshole sometimes, he does it to her because he loves her to death, and would make sure she never left again. He doesn't think he could do it again. They have each other and that's all that matters.
The twins have started their journey to find their father. And they hope to find him one day and tell him that he has two beautiful children waiting for their father to come home.
Y/n left and came back, and she will forever be,
