I woke up that morning ready to check my phone then yesterday came flooding back to me. Suddenly I feel sick at what my dad said. I'm not going to break up with Blair. She makes me happy and he can't take that away from me. I won't let him.
Dragging myself out of bed I opened my curtains to my window causing the light to shine brightly in my eyes, flooding the room with light. Once my eyes adjusted I could see the leaves falling off the trees and the grey sky. Rain pattered down hitting my window with its small droplets gently washing over the street with the wind.
Walking over to my wardrobe I took out what looked the comfiest. Deciding that it was a black wool-knit jumper and black leggings I went to go get ready for the day.
I had a hot shower trying to wash away what happened yesterday and forget all my worries. Sadly it didn't work although it was naive feeling the warm water cascading down my skin. After I got dressed I headed downstairs.
Going into the kitchen I put two slices of bread into the toaster. Once I finished making my breakfast I sat at the empty kitchen table. Halfway through I could hear footsteps come down the stairs. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw that it's Marcus.
"Good morning," I said as he came through to the kitchen.
"Good morning," he mumbled not having properly woken up yet.
***
When my parents came downstairs I'd already finished and went back to my room. Blasting Green Day; I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling.
***
Deciding that I'd spent way to much time not doing anything I tried to occupy my mind by doing homework. Which meant I am really bored.
***
The doorbell went off. So, me being my curious self went to see who it is. Standing at the top of the stairs I could just about see my dad going to open the door.
"Go away," He said bluntly.
"Don't worry this has nothing to do with mine and Addison's relationship sir. It's just that we're doing an art project together and I really need her help on this bit."
Mum came out into the hall looking curiously at Blair than looked at my dad giving him a pleading look.
"It's her schooling you can't really argue with that Jack," she loudly whispered. I don't even know why she tries whispering when she's so bad at it.
"Fine but stay in the living room and I'll be sitting there making sure there is no lesbian activity," he grunted.
"Addison your project partner is here!" Mum called up the stairs.
"Coming!" I shouted ecstatic that I get to see Blair.
***
Blair was already in the living room when I got there with my dad sitting on his chair in the corner pretending to read a paper.
"Hi," I said when I saw her instantly smiling.
"Hi. Why haven't you been replying to my text messages?" She whispered the last part.
"My dad took my phone away from me," I explained.
"Girls work," he said curtly looking back down at the paper in his hands.
"Yes dad," I replied rolling my eyes so only Blair could see.
We went over parts of the project sat next to each other and very rarely 'accidentally' touching. Blair couldn't do her drawing part yet because she broke her dominant arm but did help a lot with typing out the project. This little amount of being together was amazing. I didn't care that my dad was supervising because I'll take any time with Blair that I can get.
***
The day went by too quickly. I wanted Blair to stay, to hold her hand in mine and kiss her lips. Every second mattered when I'm with her. Now Blair is standing at the door ready to go and I'm not ready. How do we say goodbye?
"Bye I guess," Blair said awkwardly.
"Bye," I replied.
Blair started to walk out, going into the front garden.
I couldn't stop myself...
Before my dad shut the door I ran out into the rain and collided my lips with hers. The kiss is meaning full and passionate as I wrap my arms around her neck, with Blair wrapping her arm around my waist pulling me closer. At that moment everything seems to vanish and fade into the background. Electric sparks pulsed through my veins at every touch.
"Addison!" My dad shouted loudly storming out into the rain pulling us apart.
"Bye," I said to Blair slightly breathless.
"Bye," she replied smiling at me.
***
My dad dragged me inside. I couldn't help but laugh, still on a high from Blair and I's kiss.
"You can't go around kissing girls! I won't allow it!" He shouted as I sat down on the sofa.
I raked a hand through my soaked hair. Not caring that my clothes are drenched or even what my dad is saying.
"Too late," I replied before pushing past him going to my room grinning.
***
Getting changed I wrapped myself in my blankets reading a book for a little while. Soon after I got ready for bed resting my head on my pillow with a smug smile on my face. Somehow I will stay with Blair. We have to find a way to be together. Quickly after I drifted off into a deep sleep.
