"I honestly cannot believe your Mom made you do this."

Karlie spoke, her sunglasses perched on the top of her nose as she squinted her eyes to look for Austin and the guy who was to be Taylor's date for the noon.

Unbelievably so, Andrea Swift had crossed the imaginary boundaries that one could only dream for the secretive couple : Setting up Taylor with one of Austin's very well off friends. She had assumed that Taylor being single, was a good time for her to bring up a sea of suitors that she herself felt were very well capable and able to take very good care of Taylor as well as being a son-in-law that she could brag about in front of her friends. Despite Taylor declining numerous offers and stating that she had no time for dating since she had her music to attend to, Andrea had started going through the applications of men that she thought would be able to deal with Taylor's star status. All this while, Karlie stood there tight lipped, as Taylor had asked her to stay and nodded her head in agreement to whatever Andrea said. After the consuming conversation was over (which resulted in Karlie stomping over to her room and ponder over ways to literally get rid of Andrea), Taylor had assured the model that she won't be paying much attention to whatsoever the boy she was set up with.

"You know how Mum wants me to settle down, right? I know it's impossible right now, but we'll find a way to come around it. Probably come out?"

Taylor set her head on Karlie's shoulders, her arms wrapped around Karlie's waist.

Karlie did not say a thing but made a deal that she would accompany Taylor lest the boy might "steal her girl".

Taylor was simply torn with coming out to her family with Karlie and dealing with Karlie about the lunch date situation. Whilst she was with Karlie, she won't even dream of being with a guy or a girl in a span of 100 years but she knew that Andrea always had a upper hand over her. She was the exact reason why Taylor had not even touched a bottle of liqour in Nashville unless you count the wine drinking in the flight. But she had to put up the front of the lovely, obedient daughter and bow down to all her wishes before she lashed out on her.

The singer had given much thought to coming out and making their relationship public, atleast to her family now that Karlie was here. Yet, shivers ran down her spine once she thought of her mother's reaction to her being gay:

"What? MY own daughter queer? She's just being a bad influence!"

"Taylor? Are you out of your mind? Changing your sexual preferences for a model? You know you're not gay!"

Taylor's mind wandered over all of these thoughts as she tried to manage Karlie's displeasure and Andrea's continuous whining over getting Taylor to settle down.

"Is that him?"

Karlie jerked a thumb towards a figure striding over to them, laughing loudly to whatever Austin was telling him. Taylor nodded, craning her neck to see the despicable man whom she had been set up with.

Tousled chocolate brown hair, fashioned appreciably in a West European parting and high cheekbones that complemented a thick jawline. A blissful smile crossed his face and his hands jammed into his trouser pocket, rose up to greet Taylor.

"Taylor, is it?"

The man smiled grinned, extending a hand for a handshake. He had definitely cross verified the name with Austin, given the confidence on his face.

"I- yes, of course, Taylor. Taylor Swift."

Taylor answered, still trying to take in his chiselled facial features. He was alluring on the very first glance but the charm that emanated from him surpassed Taylor's ability to speech.
