Betty POV
The game was close 21-26 for the other team. We needed one more touchdown to win and there is 5 minutes left. Jug's on the field and the team is cheering them on. We need to run 30 yards and it's getting closer to the end of the game. Number 11 throws the ball to Jug and he catches it. He is running past the 20 yard line and now the 10 yard line. He gets the touchdown and the time runs out. The crowd is going crazy. Jug runs over to me, picks me up and spins me around. He kisses me with big smiles on both of our faces. The crowd cheers louder and I blushed realizing I kissed him in front of the whole school. "To much PDA for school don't you think" I heard Ronnie yell. "Shut up!" We both say. He lets me down and hugs me. The team came over and took Jug away from me. "Bye" I yell with a chuckle. "Bye" I hear Jug yell. Ronnie, Cher, and Toni drag me to the side. "Omg that was so cute!" Toni exclaimed. "I know right there so in love" Cher says. "Omg tell us everything" Ronnie says singing. I laughed at all of them. "Come on lets go to Pops and talk. We can catch up on the new gossip" I say. "Or you and Jug" I hear Toni mumble and I just blushed. "Awww Toni you made her blush." Ronnie said laughing. "Let's just go" I say annoyed. "You love Jug, you love Jug!" The chanted all the way to the car. The truth is I don't know if I love Jug I mean I've never been in love before. Every time he walks into the room, my heart flutters. Every time he speaks, it's like music to my ears. Every time I even look at him, it's like my whole day lights up. If that's what love in then I fell fast and hard. He's like my air to breath. He scent is the only thing I want to be smelling. I think I'm in love. I love Jughead. I need to tell him. Wait what if he doesn't love me back. Oh god what do I do? Should I wait for him to say it to me? Or should I just tell him now? Oh no I don't know what to do. We are in the car and I hear my name being called. "Betty. Earth to Betty. What's up with her?" I hear Toni I ask. I gain my focus back and look at them. "What were you thinking about because we were calling you name for 3 minutes." Cher says. "Sorry uh umm" I stutter 'should I tell them?' I ask myself. "Do you think Jughead loves me?" I blurt out. They all look at me wide eyed. "I mean I pretty sure I love him but what if I tell him that and he dumps me? I don't want to break up beca-" "Jughead is head over heels in love with you. I've known him my whole life and I've never seen him look at anyone the way he looks at you." Toni says interrupting me. "Are you sure though? I mean I can't be that speca-" "trust me he loves you but is to scared to admit it." Toni says interrupting me again. I just sigh and look down. "We're here" Ronnie sings. I look at the red neon sign that says "Pops!" We get out of the car and go sit in a booth. We catch up on all of the hot gossip at our school. "Omg did you know Betty and Jughead fucked!" Ronnie exclaimed as I almost spit out my milkshake. "What no we didn't!" I said really loud causing everyone to look at me. I am now embarrassed and Ronnie says "She said she didn't fully yet but you did do stuff right? You told me you'd tell us after the game, so here we are, tell us." I told them everything because I believe that I can trust them. Then the football team comes in causing me to smile when I looked at Jug. He walks over and kisses me. "I'm gonna hang out with guys. Although I'm sure this hot gossip is juicy. Tell me when your leaving cause I'll walk you home" he says and smiles. He kisses me then walks back to the team. The rest of the night we talked and ordered multiple milkshakes. I was getting up ready to leave when someone's arms wrapped around me waist. They spun me around and I faced Jug. "I told you to tell me when you leave so I can walk you home." He said. "Sorry, must have forgot." I said. He smirked, wrapped his arm around my waist and we started to walk to my house. I was getting cold since I was only in my cheer outfit. He noticed and wrapped his jacket around me. I smiled to myself and said "You'll get cold take your jacket back" "I'll survive" "Well congrats on getting that touchdown" "Thanks!" He smiled and stopped in front of my house. I kissed him and walked inside. I finally felt happy in so long. "Mom? Are you home?" I yelled. "Yes darling come here" I walk I to the kitchen and saw Polly sitting at the table. "Hi Polly I haven't seen you in so long." I said with a fake smile. "Omg I missed you" she said with a fake smile as well. "So I see you found yourself a boyfriend." Polly says. "What makes you say that?" I ask and look at mom who just walks out of the kitchen and goes upstairs. "Well that jacket certainly isn't yours" she states. "Oh well just so you know I have great friends and an amazing boyfriend whom I love. So please get out of my business so I can be happy." I say and walk to my room. I text Jug goodnight and fall asleep.
