"Simon! Get out of the sun." Clary yelled in fear and pushed him under an umbrella.
"Hey, what the hell?" Simon asked in confusion and the girls realized he was a mundane in this dimension. "I know that look. Caffeine deprivation. Come on you two." He added with a smile and pulled the siblings towards the table the rest of their group was sitting at. Myrcella was flabbergasted when she realized the girl with a Star Wars shirt and glasses sitting at the table was none other than Isabelle. Before Myrcella could even question it, she was pulled in a kiss. Clary's eyebrows shot up in surprise and chuckled slightly at the look on her sister's face.
"Okay you two, get a room." Isabelle chuckled, her statement making Alec pull back from the kiss and roll his eyes at his sister. Myrcella chuckled nervously and even though she tried to convince herself she hated this situation, a part of her heart was doing cartwheels.
"Planning on it." Alec whispered in her ear which erupted goosebumps on her skin and she nervously gulped. At least this version of herself was happy and didn't have an Alec with a stick up his ass like the one from her dimension. Alec sat back down on his seat and pulled Myrcella down on his lap, wrapping his arms around her waist to secure her position. Myrcella knew getting up would raise suspicions so she stayed put, trying to think anything else besides the guy underneath her.
"What party?" Myrcella heard her sister ask in confusion.
"That's not even funny. Your sister and I have poured our hearts and souls into planning this anniversary party for the Institute and the theme is amazing." Alec replied rubbing circles around her waist, her skin igniting with his touch. Myrcella couldn't focus on what they were talking about when Alec's hands were relentlessly moving on her waist so she shifted uncomfortably trying to ease the tension when she felt something poke her leg. "Even though I'm enjoying this, I'd prefer you stop moving so much babe. You know I can't control myself with you." Alec whispered in her ear and Myrcella felt him curse under her when she moved again.
"Pee! I gotta pee, yeah." Myrcella exclaimed her cheeks flushed and jumped up, just in time for Clary to run to her. She hadn't even realized her sister wasn't at the table till she came back. "Let's go." Myrcella said trying to steady her heart and the two siblings rushed away leaving four confused people behind.
"You feel a magnetic attraction to him that you cannot escape." Myrcella heard Magnus explain to Clary as she got a tarot reading. Myrcella opted to hang in the back as she had embarrassed herself when Magnus opened the door to them and she jumped on him, hugging him like a maniac. For a moment, she forgot they didn't know each other.
"I know you're a warlock, Magnus." Clary cut to the chase and Myrcella decided it was time to join them at the table. "I'm a Shadowhunter." Clary added leaning towards him.
"There are no more Shadowhunters." Magnus laughed and shook his head, gathering his tarot cards from the table. "Haven't been for hundreds of years." He added with a look of disbelief.
"I can prove it." Clary got up to show her rune but realized their skin was bare.
"All I see, Shadowhunter, is you could use a serious tan. As can your sister." Magnus replied winking at Myrcella.
"No runes in this dimension." Clary sighed in defeat but Myrcella had other plans.
"Do you believe us now?" Myrcella asked, her eyes glowing emerald, projecting a rune in the air.
"We're from an alternate reality." Clary cut in, explaining their situation.
"If that were true, without an anchor you'd be assimilating into this world." Magnus shot back, still not believing the girls.
"Believe me, I am trying to fight it." Clary scoffed, shaking her head and Myrcella nodded in agreement. She had been coming in and out of it since she woke up.
"In our dimension, Shadowhunters still battle demons. And now there is something so much worse. We need your magic to help us stop it." Myrcella added, looking at him with pleading eyes.
"I can't help you. My magic's gone dormant." He stated looking down. Myrcella grabbed Magnus' hand and gave him a kind smile.
"Look Magnus, if it was something I could do, we wouldn't be here. The Magnus I know from my dimension wouldn't sit around without his magic, doing parlor tricks." Myrcella tried to convince him. "Also I may know a way to kickstart your magic." She added with a smirk.
"How?" He asked intrigued by her statement. Myrcella got up and started working her magic, making a concoction for Magnus to drink. When she was done, she handed the smelly cup to Magnus.
"This better work." He said when he got a whiff of the smell.
"It better. You taught me that." Myrcella shot back with an amused smile. After waiting a couple of minutes and nothing have happened, Clary stepped in.
"Why don't you try moving that?" She asked nodding towards a candle. Myrcella could feel Magnus' magic but it was very faint, as he hadn't used it in a long while.
"Usually, you guys have more of a flourish to it." Clary stated moving her arms around like boneless dancer.
"I do not look like that." The two warlocks shot back at the same time.
"Magnus, we just need to find the Portal." Clary sighed running a hand through her hair.
"Even if my magic was working, I'd still need an energy signature of some kind to track it." Magnus retorted back, annoyed at the two girls and himself.
"Damn, why didn't I think of that?" Myrcella smacked her forehead and ripped off her bracelet. "Here, use this. These are from this dimension." Myrcella handed her portal shard to Magnus and pointed to the one Clary had around her neck. The minute Magnus reached out to take the shard from Myrcella, both warlocks felt a huge wave of power surge through them.
"Oh, now that's what I'm talking about." Magnus replied sounding more like the Magnus they knew. He breathed deeply and focused on the Portal they were looking for. "The energy is very faint. It's been dormant for a long time. Like me. Let's see if we can wake it up." He added with a wink and inhaled deeply. The hand Myrcella was holding the Portal shard with started to tingle.
"Can you see it?" Clary asked eagerly.
"Yes. It's in a subbasement of Fort Knox." Magnus replied scrunching his eyebrows.
"Like, literally Fort-" Myrcella was about to ask but Magnus cut in.
"No, but it might as well be. The Institute. High tech, high security. Impossible to get into." He stated shaking his head in disappointment.
"And hosting an anniversary party tonight that we have the hookup to." Clary replied with a smug look.
"Meet us there at 7:00 p.m." Myrcella smiled and Magnus let go of the Portal shard. As they exited the apartment, Myrcella felt woozy again. She could feel herself slipping but she shook her head, trying to take the control back.
"We need to find that Portal fast." She muttered to her sister who nodded in agreement.
"First we have to get ready at Lightwood's." Clary replied making Myrcella groan in frustration. If she had to see Alec again, she knew it would be hard to keep focused on the mission and not losing herself in the process.
Author's note: I actually had to make alternate dimension Magnus gif cause there wasn't one but I love it. I also cut this part in two so next one coming soon. Hopefully today.
