Chapter 1

                                    

                                          
Betty POV 
It was another early morning and my alarm clock blasted "Believer" by Imagine Dragons. I was in my room getting ready for my first day at Riverdale high. Picking my outfits is always my favourite part of the morning. I really love fashion and being able to put outfits together. 
                          
I got changed into a white crop top and black ripped jeans. Just simple clothes today because I don't want to stand out too much. 
My hair is down and wavy. I leave my hair natural most of the time because it's hard to deal with sometimes. I go downstairs for breakfast and my mom looked me up and down with a disgusted face.
                          
"So your going to wear that?" My mother asked with a rude tone. She doesn't get that she can't control me. I just want to live my life the way I want to. 
                          
"Ya, do you have a problem with it?"  
                          
"No no it looks great on you!" She said with a fake smile. So she's going to be like that today. Her mood always changes. She can either be brutally honest or sneaky and conniving. 
                          
"Thanks!" I said a happy tone and rolled my eyes. I grabbed a muffin and my bag then walked out the door. I walked to school considering it wasn't that far away. 
                          
I was standing outside the school door waiting for my new life to begin. I walked in and all eyes were on me. I was kind of nervous that I'd fall or something and everyone would laugh.
As I tried to find Mr. Wetherbee's office. The stares didn't stop. What's with these people, get a life. 
                          
"Hi, I'm Betty Cooper, the new student." 
                          
"Ms. Cooper it's nice to meet you. Here is your locker, lock and timetable. Come and ask if you need anything else." Mr. Wetherbee said. 
                          
"Thanks I will." I said with a sigh and walked down the hallway trying to find my locker. I finally found it after like 5 minutes of searching and it turns out a hot boy is standing right besides it. 
                          
As I'm opening my locker he turns around and starts checking me out. I'm putting my bag in my locker and turn to face him.

"What are you looking at?" I asked annoyed. He keeps looking at me with a smirk. 
                          
"Hi I'm Jughead Jones and you are?" He said. 
                          
"Betty Cooper" I say and turn back to face my locker. I take out my binder and turn back to face him 
                          
"Bye" I say and walk away. Before I could go anywhere he grabbed my hand to turn me around 
                          
"Are you new because I'm sure as hell I'd remember a face like yours. Where are you from?" He asked 
                          
"California" I replied. "What class do you have?" He asked. "Math" I say  "Same, I'll walk you." He said. "Okay" I say confused as to why he was talking to me. 
                          
We make small talk on our was to class. As soon as we enter the class he dragged me to the back and sat me next to him. They were two person tables. 
                          
The teacher walked in and told us we would be watching a movie because we shouldn't have to have homework on the first day. "We are watching Romeo and Juliet so get comfortable." Ugh I've seen this movie so many times and there has to be the hottest guy I've ever seen beside me, this couldn't be any better could it. 
                          
We are halfway through the movie and we were talking the whole time. I might have a crush on him but there is no way he would like me. Ugh life is so hard. 
                          
Jughead POV
I'm Jughead Jones and I am the serpent king. I am also one of the best football players on Riverdale highs football team, the bulldogs. I love to write and I actually work at the blue and gold. My mom left when I was very young and I don't remember her that much. My dad is the best. He helps with the serpents and helps take care of my younger sister, Jellybean. Jellybean is 12 and I'm 17 so not that big of an age gap. I have the best friends ever. They are Toni, Sweetpea, Fangs, Veronica, Reggie, Archie, Josie, Cheryl, and Kevin. Toni and Cheryl are dating same with Veronica and Reggie, Archie and Josie, and Fangs and Kevin. Me and Sweetpea are the only single ones. 
                          
Today is the first day of school and I'm talking to Sweetpea at my locker until the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen walked to the locker beside me. (You know what happens). Halfway through Romeo and Juliet it felt like we knew each other for ever. I fell fast and hard for this girl. 
                          
Betty POV
We were looking at each other's lips and we just leaned in. That's when our lips met. It was the best kiss ever. He deepened it by swiping his tongue on my bottom lip and I gladly granted access by opening my mouth. His tongue slid in and we were fighting for dominance. Of course he won. 
                          
We were making out for the rest of the movie without getting caught. We the bell ring and the lights turned on we ended the make out session. My lips were pink and swollen. 
                          
"I want you to meet my friends at lunch meet me in the cafeteria" he said with a smile "Okay" I said blushing. Can't wait for lunch!
