Ming was grinning.
"Ming? Doesn't your face hurt? You've been smiling ever since we left the house." Kit had asked, worried that his fiance had lost his mind.
Fiance, it felt right. Kit felt like it fits the both of them like how the jade ring fits on his finger.
"I'm just happy. Let me enjoy this P'Kit." Ming answered defensively with a pout.
They were driving home to the city, a few minutes away.
A while ago, Ming had asked for blessing from Kit's family. He had all the intention of marrying Kit. By some miracle or divine intervention or a cosmic scheme, it all went smoothly than what they had expected. Ming felt unstoppable. No one can come between them now.
Kit was welcomed in his own house by Mingkit and a golden retriever puppy the same size as the boy, playing in the yard with a stick.
"Mingkit!" Kit called out and the boy came running to him with the puppy running after him.
As soon as he reached Kit, he hugs him and kisses his cheeks repeatedly.
"Psssh.. Mingkit you better stop kissing dada. He's mine. Go find your own. Kiss that puppy instead." Ming reprimanded as he points at the dog. Kit glared at him.
"Don't mind your daddy. He's just jealous." Kit said playfully.
"I texted mom to come here so you could spend some time with him." Ming said while carrying all their bags inside the house.
"Ming.." He called before Ming was able to enter the house.
"Thank you." Kit cleared his throat to get the words out.
"Kit! How was your beach trip? Ming told me you stayed at our resort?" Ming's mom followed by two maids had appeared out of nowhere.
"We did. We had so much fun. It was beautiful." Kit politely answered.
"I'm glad but you know that's not the only thing my son told me." She said teasingly.
"I..y-yeah.." Kit chuckled shyly.
Mingkit went back to playing with the puppy as soon as Kit had put him down.
"I'm happy for both you. It's about time. I hope to meet your family soon so we could talk about the wedding in detail."
Wedding. Everytime he thinks about it his heart skips a beat. It still feels surreal, the idea of him marrying Ming.
"This was unexpected. I'm happy you and Mingkit found time to visit me.. m-mom." He had been hesitant to call her mom but she had insisted on it, telling him they're family now. It will take him some time to get used to it.
"Mingkit couldn't stop asking about you. Last night, he throwed a tantrum calling your name. He misses you greatly, dear."
Kit and Mingkit had form a formidable bond in a very short time.
They spent the afternoon drinking tea and watching Mingkit and Ming and the puppy run around the garden under the sun.
Kit can feel his heart swell. He can watch them like this everyday for the rest of his life.
It was noon when Mingkit and his grandmama had bid goodbye to Kit.
"Dear, visit us as soon as you can. I do enjoy your company and Mingkit wants you around." Ming's mom had hugged him goodbye before leaving.
"Ming? You're not going with them?" Kit asked baffled as to why Ming just stood beside him.
Ming waved at the moving vehicle until it was gone out of sight.
"I'm staying here, with you."
Kit's face had lit up but instantly hides it in a poker face. Ming caught a glimpse of it and started smirking.
"My P'Kit wants me here just as much as I do. I'm right, aren't I?"
"D-do whatever you want." He said trying to sound nonchalant and annoyed.
Kit was washing the dishes that they have used from their dinner when he felt Ming's arm snaked around his waist.
"P'Kit.." Ming uttered in a low but sweet voice as if asking for something.
Kit tried to shake Ming off but he was unable to and so he continued on doing the chore with Ming at his back.
He can't deny how his chest had started to flutter and his body started to respond to Ming's touch.
"P'Kit.." Ming said his name in an even more pleading tone.
"M-ming go sit on the.. couch. You.. Just.."
"P'Kit.." With a pout Ming had detached himself from Ming and slumped on the couch.
"P'Kit.." He heard Ming called out in a whiny voice from the living room. Kit smiled as a sinister plan had come to life in his mind.
When he had finished his task, he went to see Ming, sulking.
"P'Kit.." Ming nods and pouts as if Kit understoods what he was requesting.
"What do you want Ming? You've been calling my name but you're not really saying anything." Kit acted cluelessly.
"P'Kit.. Kiss.." Ming answered.
Kit was doing his best to contain his laugh. Ming was like a child right now. If one can consider a tall and muscular man a child.
"I'm tired Ming. We should rest. We had a long day." Kit still acting, rejoiced internally at how frustrated Ming was.
"But.. but.." Ming began to reason out.
"But what?" Kit asked innocently restraining all the muscles in his face from smiling.
"But Mingkit got a kiss earlier. I should get a kiss." Ming frustratingly explained as if it's logically correct.
"Mingkit was a good boy." Kit responded.
"I'm a good boy too."
Ming stopped for a second, messes up his hair and started unbuttoning his clothes with a smirk on his face.
"Unless P'Kit wants me to be a bad boy tonight."
