"Let me help you- please I want to hear your voice. I miss you...,"

It's been days since he left. Every day that he's not here only makes me grow more angry with him. I understand needing time to recuperate, I've been there. I've been a mess of myself, but I've always needed him to help me glue myself back together. The fact that he clearly doesn't need me in the same way, makes me feel like he's closed himself off for me completely.

He doesn't answer phone calls, I know he's read my text messages- but I never get any reply. I really thought after the first night, he'd come back. I know he's been to the hospital. I've read his name on the visitors list each day that I go to visit Lily. He's signed the birth certificate, he's left me flowers every day, he even talks to the twins, but only by way of Ceci phone.

I can't understand it, but I think he's over me, done with us. The words he said- about the universe conspiring against us from the very start of our love, I guess that's where his head is at. Maybe I should start thinking the same way.

"Mummy! Mummy, where are you?," I hear Richie's voice calling for me as he comes down the stairs from his bedroom. He really hasn't gotten over his fear of me being gone.

"I'm here, baby- just making breakfast," He runs up to me by the stove and hugs my legs.

Bending down to kiss his cheek, we say our good mornings and he takes a seat at the kitchen table. Not a moment later, Charlie struts down the steps, still holding Freddie's bright yellow sweatshirt against her cheek. She's started to use it as a security blanket of sorts. She really does miss him. We all do.

"Good morning, sleepy head!," I smile at her as she sits next to Richie, never putting the sweater down.

We sit down to enjoy our breakfast and I try to keep my spirits high for them. At least when they're around I can push everything else to the back of my mind. After I finish getting them dressed for the day, we wait in the living room for Ceci to come and pick them up. She's been watching them while I go to the hospital every day to spend some time with Lily.

Everyone's been really helpful, but I had to convince Rose that I'm fine. She really needed a break from my own drama to finally go away on her delayed honeymoon! I feel so bad that her and Roger cancelled their plans because of me. Even with the two of them gone, there are still more than enough people offering anything I need. I wonder if any of them are helping Freddie. They may be angry at him, but he really needs someone.

"Good Morning, Mercury's!," Ceci chirps happily as she walks through the front door.

"Hi, Ceci! Good morning," I smile at her as I help to put Charlie's jacket on and she helps Richie.

"Mummy I want to see Lily," Charlie whines as I zip up her coat and start to put on her shoes.

"You'll see her soon, princess. I promise- she's just not ready to come home, yet," Though I smile at her, it does make sad that they still can't meet their new baby sister.
