Not surprisingly, everyone survived. They were cursed, after all. That coin had its ways of keeping them alive; according to it, they hadn't suffered enough.
However alive, that didn't mean there weren't injuries. Or that they weren't separated.
Damien woke up in front of the entrance to the hospital. The problem was the rest of the hospital, besides floors one through nine, were only debris.
Damien wondered how many people they had murdered, just to get away from a sun emoji. When he thought of it that way, it sounded wrong. He looked up and silently wished that he was dreaming, and that he didn't kill thousands of sick patients.
Or did he kill people? He struggled to his feet and limped over to the debris. Considering how large the hospital was, there would have to be bodies... right?
None. Zero. Nada.
He wondered if he was going insane. How was he even alive? So many questions popped in his head, and he had no idea what to do with them, so they just kept coming.
Where was everyone?
How would they get back together?
What even cursed them?
Were they cursed?
He brought his hands to his head. This was too overwhelming.
"Overwhelmed?" a voice asked calmly.
Damien turned his head to see a cat licking its behind. He wrinkled his nose. "Eww, really cat? Shoo!" he tried shooing it away, but it rolled its eyes at him.
"Get your head out of the gutter," it scoffed, before continuing its bath.
Damien knew this cat was from one of Smosh's sketches. He tried not to freak out and just pretend a cat speaking English wasn't out of the blue.
"I don't know what the fu(bleep) I'm doing here speaking to a fu(bleep)ing stupid S-O-B, considering normally my species doesn't speak, but whatever. Fu(bleep) everything." the cat ranted.
"So you know you're unnatural?" Damien asked, astonished.
"Of course I do, bi(bloop)," the cat growled. "It's not every day you fall out of the goddamn sky and can only remember today as the one day of your life." the cat thought for a second. "Actually, I remember the day before today, but it's all foggy."
"Do you think you know why?" Damien desperately asked the feline.
The cat stared hard at Damien, its icy blue eyes piercing his eyes. "This." he said.
Then the cat started coughing. Hacking, really.
"Um..." Damien started.
"Shh! It's coming! Might take a moment or two, you impatient piece of sh(bloop)!" the cat snapped. He hacked some more.
Damien took a moment to study the cat. It was an almost entirely black cat with stinging blue eyes. The only part of the beast that wasn't black was part of its nose and its front feet.
Eventually, the cat hacked up a giant hairball.
"Gross!" Damien yelled.
The cat's tail flicked. "Well?" the cat asked calmly, an evil gleam in its eyes. "Are you gonna find it or not?"
"You're expecting me to find whatever is in that ball of puke?!" Damien exclaimed, disgusted. He now understood why some people liked dogs more than cats.
The feline grinned, showing its sharp pearly whites. "Yeah, bi(bloop). Don't you want to know why this sh(bloop) is happening to you?" The tail flicked in amusement.
