My eyes flung open, taking a deep breath of air around me. It has been so long since I felt my body breathe but it felt nice. I'm still alive and here to see another day. I'm out of the coma and I can continue my life, I never knew how much I wanted to be here. Though it hit me that my surroundings were different. Of course, it is different though, I am outside, laying in the back of a pickup truck. The sun almost setting and no Jacob or Jack insight. It frightened me. Was I kidnapped by a Hunter?
There was rustling coming from the woods that was next to the pickup truck. It made my body jolt up into a sitting position and grabbing a crowbar, which was the closest thing I could grab. "Stay away! I'm armed!" I did my best to sound intimidating and I was only hoping that it worked.
"[Name]? Is that really you?" Jack stepped out of the woods, coming closer to me. Immediately I dropped the crowbar and jumped out. Basically throwing myself at Jack just to hug him.
"Yes Jack, it's me. I missed you so much." His body was no longer tense but relaxing as his arms were moving up to return my embrace.
"I'm happy to have you back. I've waited so long."
"I know you have. I'm sorry for leaving you." He pulled himself away from me, removing his mask, a giant joyful smirk on his face and while he had no eyes, I knew that he was looking at me lovingly. I knew why he took off his mask, he wanted to make sure it was the girl he fell in love with and removing the mask was a test. The only thing I did was place my hand on his face and smile.
"Do you not trust that it is actually me? The same girl that was your roommate, deceived by LJ and kidnapped by Area 51? I'm that girl, the one right in front of you."
He lifted my chin up with his hand and it almost reminded me of Domitian that my eyes widened in shock. "I've waited for you for so long." He repeats himself, his face leaning closer to mine. I was preparing myself to kiss him or at least that is what was going to happen until Jack got hit over the head with a small but somewhat thick log. It made me scream.
"Take that you fucking bastard!" It was Jacob and he was breathless. Drenched in his own sweat and covered with dirt. It looks like he has been sleeping outside for days and then decided to go out for a run.
"What the hell Jacob?" He turned to look at me, once his eyes landed on me he decided to drop the log and take me into his arms.
"He was right. You are strong enough to get out of a memory coma. I'm happy to see you again."
"Oh, more hugging. Okay." I didn't know what to do other than pat his back in reassurance. I was almost happy that I was pulled out of his arms because I didn't know what else to do. I was now in Jack's arms, him protecting me and his head bleeding but it seemed like he didn't care about that. Jack only cared about keeping me on his side.
"Yeah, she's back and she is mine. And just as I was right about the coma I was right about my [Name] coming back." I looked between Jacob and Jack, both of them in an intense stare-off. I had to break it.
"Can someone tell me what happened while I was out?" It took some time but those two stopped glaring at each other, now explaining to me the events that happened while I was out. I could tell that Jacob wanted me to give Jack an earful for leaving him behind. I also knew that Jack would want me to back him up. Right now was not the best choice to side with someone so I had to move the conversation along. "Now is not the time for arguments. Two Hunters have already located us and we even went in the opposite direction from last time so that we could lose them. It worked but not as well as Jack and I thought it would."
"Where were you headed first?"
"South," Jack spoke up. I can tell he was mad that I didn't side with him but I had no time to play these childish games.
