Irvin was said to be a jerk, self obsessed, and contradicting what he preached. He wasn't perfect and he knew that. Irvin Hull had always came from humble beginnings and conventional. He became a star rather quickly after working on a TV series he nearly lost the role of. He fallen in love with one of the actress he starred on that show with. Unfortunately for him, she wasn't ready for marriage or family. Sadly, this was the pattern with his other past girlfriends as well.
He wish his wife Nancy wasn't self centered, greedy, and dependable. Since he ended up with her believing she would be the one he would be the husband and father of their children. His parents divorced when he was twelve and his mother managed on her own. He respected and adored femmes like that, like a femme fatale. Minus the fatalism of course.
When he started a for-profit organization he gave copious amount of money for causes he believed in. Like a plague, Nancy selfishness and greediness infested and sabotage things. The day he looked at his statement and saw how much he was contributing, he knew this marriage wouldn't last another few years.
"Irvin can I have this amount of money?" Irvin rolled his eyes hearing those words he detested. "I'm going to text you, I'm a bit busy right now." Refusing to answer her verbally, he simply texted the answer she wanted to hear. Ever since they got married THAT was what their marriage was all about. Money, money, money. Even after their daughter was born he NEVER heard the end of it.
That evening Irvin just sat in the resort hotel bedroom and thought about his life before all the unhappiness. His family, his friends, his work... their were so many memories. Of laughter, excitement, and joy. He assumed that Nancy would bring all time personally, instead she brought sadness, boredom, and stress.
He was happy to be on vacation with his child Bianca. He wish Nancy wasn't so occupied with her glibness and asking how much cash she could take out. Irvin stroke Bianca' head and kissed her. As she slept soundly that night, he went to the beach to think. Was there anyone worthy of his love out there?
He walked to the beach, letting the sand run in between in toes. Irvin stared out across the sea and sat down. He closed his eyes and sighed. "God, let that true love I desire be out there." H never doubted what God could do. He was raised by a deeply spiritual mother. Suddenly he saw something emerge from the sea. The figure was a tall, exotic, youthful girl with long hair. Was she real? Was he dreaming?
