Despite the fact that I had school, I wasn't going.
It had been 7 weeks now.
The teachers seemed to understand me not going to school.
Most said when I got back, I could do a project instead of all the make up work.
I kissed Grace's forehead, said goodnight, and curled up on the couch by the window, while pulling up the My Chemical Romance blanket I had brought from home.
I missed curling up next to Grace at night.
I wasn't sure if I was allowed to lay next to her, and I didn't really wanna ask.
Grace groaned and turned.
Then she turned again.
And again.
It was just like last time.
The heart rate monitor sped up and Grace turned faster.
I called a doctor in, just in case.
It wasn't like last time, but she wouldn't calm down.
Finally, I laid down next to her and planted a kiss to her lips.
She stopped turning.
"Hey, baby." I said quietly, playing with her hair, hoping she could hear me.
"I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere. I'm here."
I glanced at the doctor.
"Am I allowed to sleep in the bed with her?" I asked her.
"Yes." She answered before leaving.
I put my arms around Grace and kissed her forehead.
"I'll always be here." I whispered. "I promise."
