A lot had happened in that incident at the warehouse. While Jennie had tried to sneak Jungkook out of the place where they had kept him, Baekhyun had caught her on the act and tried to shoot her with his gun. He probably would've...if Taehyung hadn't gotten in the way and took the hit himself.

He had gone to the infirmary. What sucked the most was that Jennie was the one treating him.

Lalisa had shot Baekhyun afterwards. Jennie didn't remember running out with Lisa, or the fact that the two of them helped Jungkook out, but shortly after they escaped, the bomb which originally had been attached to Lisa went off. Then she had told Jennie that gasoline tank which she had shot also blew up because of the fire. There was no way they would find a body there, nor would there have been a way for her half brother to come out of the "accident" alive.

So she was finally free.

Luckily, Taehyung was okay. He had gotten shot in the shoulder, so it wasn't anything super fatal. After a few weeks, he was getting better, although the pain was still there.

But now, Jennie felt much more at peace.

"Good. I can tell you've been listening to me. It looks a lot better now compared to last week." Jennie grinned at him. "In a bit, I'll start recommending that you exercise your shoulder again."

"It's refreshing to hear you talk so professionally."

She scowled. "Hey, are you saying I'm not?"

Taehyung laughed, which only confirmed her answer. She smacked his other shoulder. "Yah! I am very professional!"

"Is having a relationship with your boss professional?"

"Is having a relationship with your doctor professional?" Jennie rolled her eyes. "Shut up or I'll make sure you spend a few more months in that cast."

"I'm just kidding." Taehyung smiled. "We're done here for today right?"

She shrugged. "Yeah pretty much."

"Then let's go get coffee."

She couldn't remember the last time they went out like this. He had made a big show of holding her hand while in public, which Jennie tried not to get embarrassed at. Things were finally slowing down around them. She liked that.

So did he.

"Have you spoken to Taeyong since then?" Taehyung leaned back into the leathery seat. "I hope he still doesn't hate me."

"I'm sure he doesn't." Jennie reassured. "If there's anyone he would hate, it has to be me. I know he is still angry, but we agreed to have lunch together this weekend."
