Nothing actually happened between him and Parker, but at the same time, something happened. But what the boy said stuck in his mind and he started to dwell on it more and more. What happens at night is for the night to take.
Did that mean what Parker said meant nothing now? Now Will was back in school, and Parker was god knows where? What happened meant nothing? What happened at night didn't matter? Parker could say what he wanted and just... do nothing about it?
"Hey, I was wondering if you were free later?" Matthew asked, interrupting his thoughts. Startled, the boy looked at him and gave him a tight smile, nodding.
"Great, I was thinking the cinema?" He suggested, getting up out of his seat. Will didn't realise it was even the end of the lesson. He'd made no notes, and he'd thought about his brother's stupid best friend the whole time. How could he think about one person for so long? He didn't even care about Parker that much. The night before just threw him off so much, what was he supposed to think now? He hadn't even heard from Parker this morning and honestly, he didn't expect to hear from him for a few days.
He was pretty sure Jack mentioned he was going away for a bit and he didn't really know how long that would be.
Maybe it was for the best he was going away. Away meant away from Will and the boy just confused him so much. What did he want? Apart from a quick fuck in the back of a Range Rover, Will wasn't sure. A part of him wondered what would happen if he told Jack what Parker said to him. A different part of him just remembered what Parker said. The fact I'm not allowed to fuck you makes it even harder to resist.
And fuck. Parker was right.
All Will did after he got home, was sit on the edge of his bed and think about Parker's dark eyes staring at him in the car. That's all he could do. He didn't know if the next time he saw Parker, he would be able to do anything to stop himself from just kissing him.
"So you'll text me when you're ready?" Matthew asked.
"Um yeah," Will agreed. "What did you wanna see again?"
"I'll let you decide," Matthew smirked. Will shyly smiled back and opened his locker, kinda avoiding the fact he'd zoned out on the walk from class to his locker. "I'll see you later." He waved after briefly kissing Will's cheek. Of course, he froze and didn't manage to move again until Violet shook a hand in front of his face.
"You okay?" She questioned curiously.
"Yeah yeah, just didn't get a lot of sleep," He said, which technically wasn't a lie.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Violet asked to make sure.
"Yeah. Um, Matthew asked me out on a date," Will asked, trying to step back into reality.
"Oh wow, I'm so happy for you," She smiled warmly and watched as Will closed his locker. "You've been texting a lot, right?"
Oh yes. One thing Will forgot to mention to Parker is that he's not the only person interested in him. He and Matthew texted a lot yesterday, and the boy was lovely, nothing like Will expected him to be. They got along really well and seemed to have a few similar interests.
Apparently, Matthew moved here from Bradford because of his Dad's job, he had an older sister, and he had a thigh tattoo. He was actually quite funny, and for that reason, Will was going to give him a chance. He realised that if he wanted to get over his Parker problem, he needed to one, stop speaking to Parker and two, start talking to other people that aren't Parker.
"We talked a lot yesterday," Will replied, sighing happily. "We're going to the cinema. So there's not a lot of pressure there."
"Good," Violet nodded. "So uh, if this thing with you and Matthew becomes something more... are you gonna you know, tell your family you're gay?"
