Yui POV:
"Good afternoon!" Yato slid open the door. I slowly woke up, rubbing my eyes and yawning. "Oops, sorry, I thought you'd be awake by now." Yato sat beside me. I sat up and pinched him on the cheek, squinting my eyes. He looked at me, confused.
"I'm just checking that you're actually here and not just a figment of my imagination." "Good afternoon Yato." I stretched my arms and collapsed back down.
'You look like you had a good sleep," he commented. I nodded my head.
"Okay, Yato, now that you're here, do you mind answering my questions, and this time you won't disappear on me or go anywhere."
"Sure." He sat cross legged in front of me. "Shoot."
"Yukine doesn't remember me right?" Yato nodded his head in reply. I bit my lip in sadness. "I don't know why I was expecting a different answer," I sulked. "Second question, do you know what's happening with me slipping out of my body?"
"Oh, yeah, you and Hiyori have the same issue, there's nothing you can do about it. It's happening because you're half a phantom."
"Half phantom!?" "You mean like those monster creatures that lurk the streets and hurt people!"
"Well, you're not that, exactly..." He trailed off. "I mean you are but with more control."
I gave him a worried look.
"Hey, don't worry about it, you won't hurt anybody, and you're definitely not a monster." He patted my shoulder, comforting me. I shook of his hand, and sighed.
"It's all good, I've been dealing with it for a while now, and to be honest, it's the least of my problems-"
"Dinner is ready!~" Kofuku appeared through at door. "Hurry up! If you don't get there quick enough, it'll be all gone~." Kofuku disappeared, down the hall. I looked at Yato and shrugged.
"Guess we'll have to continue this questionnaire another time," he said, getting up. He held out his hand for me to take. I held it and helped myself up.
At the dinner table, we all sat down and talked about each other. Considering I didn't know anyone, it was a big help. I was introduced to the existence of Gods', even though Yato introduced himself as one. I had speculations. Plus, I always viewed it as a practical joke. Guess he wasn't lying after all.
When the time came for him to go, I rushed to the bathroom to grab his scarf. "Hey! Yato!" I held out his scarf in front of me. "Thanks for taking care of me, and dealing with all my questions."
His eyes lit up like christmas light at the sight of his his scarf. He grabbed it and hugged it close. "Thanks, Yui!" He hooked his arm around my neck and pulled me close. I blushed and got out of his grip.
"It's the least I can do, have a good night Yato." I turned around and walked away, back to my bedroom. I guess I had a good day. I did see Yukine again, I guess I should be thankful for just that.
