"Well, that is the last of it!" Chigusa proudly set the last grocery bag onto the kitchen counter.
Ryou smiled, thanking her for her help as he went to put away the perishables in the fridge.
"Mhmm!" She nodded happily. "Um, do you need any help putting it away? I can also cook us up some yakisoba! I mean, if you, um, haven't ate anything yet..."
I knew it...Heh... Ryou smirked from inside the fridge as he organized the groceries within. His suspicions from the store were confirmed.
"Actually..." He turned around, looking directly at her, leaning against the fridge after he closed it, a sly smile on his face. "I love yakisoba. Why don't I get the meat and vegetables prepared while you unpack and check out your new room?" His eyes darted to her suitcase and tote before he went to the fridge to pull out the necessary ingredients, hiding his mischievous expression in the process.
She shot him a confused look, but then simply nodded with a smile when he immediately went to prepare dinner.
------------
Chigusa was in awe.
It was perfect. And, most of all, not empty.
She didn't expect it to be completely empty, though. Maybe a small dresser with bed.
But this was beautiful.
Her eyes first landed on the medium-sized dresser, which had six drawers, three of them on the left and right. There was a mirror attached as well. It looked like it was also made out of...cherry wood? She wasn't sure. It looked expensive, though, and could hold all of her clothes, plus more.
She then drifted to her bed, which wasn't small, but also wasn't too big. It was definitely not a twin size mattress, that she knew for sure. She also had a headboard, which was the same wood as her dresser. The comforter and pillows were a nice, pale green and cream color, almost resembling Atoli, her character in The World. She smiled softly, feeling flattered that Ryou probably took some time to find those colors.
Her eyes watered as she fully took in every piece of furniture, the tears barely hanging off her eyes.
This....is...
This...is...MY room.
She then giggled and spontaneously jumped onto her bed, landing on her stomach, face glowing with happiness. She buried her head into her cream-colored pillows and let out a high-pitched squeal of delight, almost resembling a rabid fangirl.
Kami, this is too much....I am going to scream. First, I am moving out of my parent's house. Then, I move into Haseo-san's...er...Ryou's place. And, then, I find that it's FULLY FURNISHED?!
The tears started to flow now, the droplets soaking her pillowcases.
I feel...free...
She giggled through her tears, her laugh muffled by the pillow.
She must've been there for quite some time, though, realizing it the instant she heard a knock from behind, followed by a...laugh?
She wiped her face in a hurry, rubbing it in her pillow and then went to get off her bed in a rush, almost falling face-first. Her hair was a mess and her eyes were red. She hesitantly peered over to her doorway, silently scolding herself for losing track of time and now embarassed that she left the door open when she saw Ryou smirking in the doorway.
His face instantly dropped, noticing her red-rimmed eyes. "Uh....Is it too much?" He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, anxious that he might've overwhelmed her.
