Chapter 9

                                    

                                          
Today was a Saturday, which meant Lily was going to visit Hagrid. She also decided that she would show Pansy and Draco her invisibility cloak. She also wanted to tell them about the three headed dog. She had done some research on her own and found out that they would fall asleep with music. She decided that she would play the harp and sing a song for the puppy. 
                          
"Would you guys like to come with me?" Lily asked her two friends. 
                          
"To Hagrid's Hut?" Pansy questioned. 
                          
"Yes" she answered. The two looked at her then at each other. 
                          
"Why would we do that?" Draco asked her. 
                          
"Because Hagrid has invited us over for tea. So it would be lovely if you guys would come with me and be nice because without Hagrid I wouldn't be at Hogwarts" she told them. Pansy and Draco looked at their friend and sighed. 
                          
"Okay, okay. We'll go and be nice, but tell us how he's the reason you're here" Pansy said. Lily got nervous, but sighed. She knew she would have to tell them at some point. 
                          
"Follow me" She said to the two leading them into her shared room. "Okay, sit on the bed" once they were on the bed she shut the curtains and put a privacy charm around it. 
                          
"When I lived with my aunt and uncle they wouldn't exactly treat me the best" 
                          
"What do you mean?" Draco asked. He was curious because he thought they were only rude and weirded out about magic. 
                          
"Don't interrupt. Let her explain then we'll ask afterwards" Pansy scolded. Lily gave her friends a sad smile, but continued to talk. "They treated me as a normal child at first, but after I have done some accidental magic my aunt took me upstairs and beat me" When she said this they both gasped. 
                          
"It would keep happening and they continued to hit me. Then my hair started to get longer and became wild. So my aunt started to dye it red. She also would cut it"
                          
"That's why your hair was red when we first met" Pansy said. Lily nodded her head and then continued. 
                          
"They started to have my cousin beat up on me too. Him and his gang would hit and beat me until I wasn't able to move. Then it was his birthday and he bumped into me, but I was punished. They all beat me until I couldn't move, they also didn't feed me at all that week. Then a bit after I turned 11 and got my Hogwarts letter. I had hid it from them, but Dudley found out and told on me"
                          
"What happened?" Draco asked, but his voice was a whisper. 
                          
"That was the worse they ever beat me. Then the next day my uncle tried to do more, but I had did accidental magic and hurt him. I ran downstairs to tell my aunt how he tried to touch me, but she beat me and blamed me. Her husband wouldn't do such a thing. After that Hagrid came. He saw how they hurt me and took me away. He helped me get my school stuff and gave me a place to stay for awhile"  When she was done explaining Pansy was crying and brought her into a hug. 
                          
Draco on the other hand was pissed off. He was furious and couldn't believe that she was treated like that. She was the-girl-who-freaking-lived for god's sake. How could they?! How dare they?! 
                          
"Hey, hey. It's okay guys. Calm down. I'm okay. Let me tell you about Christmas. I got a invisibility cloak and I found a three headed dog. It is covering something up and I want to explore it with you guys" She told them, trying to get their mind off of it. 
                          
"You what?!" Pansy said as she let go. "Lily, That is such a gryffindor thing to say and do" she told her. 
                          
"Hey, I know but it's okay. So calm down. I'll tell you more about it. I just needed you to know. Also there's something about Quirrell. During my first match he was trying to curse me, that's why I need to know" she pleaded to her friends. "So please go with me?" She asked. 
                          
"Fine, now lets go to Hagrid's hut for tea" Pansy said. Lily smiled at her two friends knowing that they would do anything for her, but it was the same vice versa. Once the trio got to Hagrid's hut they were brought inside and sat down. 
                          
Hagrid asked Lily if she had remembered the dragon egg, he had won in a bet. "Yes, what about it?" She asked. Her friends were shocked because they had known nothing about this. 
                          
"He hatch'd" He said and showed them the baby dragon. 
                          
"Hi little fella" Lily said as she extended her hand. The little dragon smelt it and then started to lick her causing her to giggle by how cute it was. 
                          
"Hagrid. I hate to say it, but you can't keep him" The little girl said shocking him. "Think about his future. You can't always hide him. He'll grow too big for your hut and he could burn it down. Don't you think it will be better for him to be around his own kind" She explained to him. The giant man sighed and thought about it. He loved the little dragon, but he knew Lily was right. "I have a friend who might be able to help. I'll be back" With that the trio had left. The other two had many questions for her, but she told them she'll explain it later. And with that she was off to find the twins.
                          
"George, Fred" she called out to the older boys. 
                          
"Little snake"
                          
"What's up?" George asked. 
                          
"Your older brother, Charlie, handles dragons. Correct?" She asked the two boys. They were shocked, but ignored it. 
                          
"Yes" Fred said. She grabbed the boys by the wrist and pulled them to a more secret place. 
                          
"Hagrid has a baby dragon and I want to help him out. He won't be able to take care of it for long, so I was wondering if your brother could take him to be with the other dragons" She explained to the twins. They were shocked to learn that Hagrid has a baby dragon. How did he manage to get one?
                          
"He won it in a game" she explained, knowing that the two boys were probably confused. "Can you pretty please ask him? Pleaseeee. I will do whatever. Pleaseeee" the young girl begged. 
                          
"Fine, but you have to help us with our next prank" George said. 
                          
"Wonderful. Have you guys heard of the Easter bunny?" Lily asked. They shook their head no. "Well in the muggle world he leaves eggs field with goodies. We can leave them around the school and enchant them. When they open it can either be sweets or a prank"
                          
"That's sounds-" 
                          
"Amazing. Let's do it" Fred said. After they sorted out all of the plans, Lily left and went back to her best friends. To tell them she had everything figured out. Lily had began to get used to the craziness in her life and had found it some what fun. It was decided that the twins would send an owl to their brother and she would be the one to sneak the baby dragon to him, if he agreed. 
                          
"Lily, can you please explain everything now" Draco said to her when she entered the common room and walked over to him and Pansy. She put up a privacy charm and began to explain. 
                          
"Okay, so Hagrid won a dragon egg in a game. Now the egg has hatched right. Basically Charlie Weasley works with dragons. So I asked the twins, Fred and George Weasley to help" 
                          
"Wait what?!" Pansy exclaimed. 
                          
"It's okay because Fred and George aren't anything like Ron. They actually kept me company when it was Christmas. I also helped them with the Halloween prank" She told her friends. 
                          
"That was you?!" Draco almost yelled. "That's actually pretty cool" He then said. 
                          
"Yes, so once Charlie agrees to help everything should be okay" she told her friends. 
                          
"Alright. Just remember to keep us updated or we can't help you Lily" Pansy scolded. 
                          
"Yes mom" she giggled. Pansy had gotten used to it at this point and just puffed in annoyance.
