"Trouble in paradise?" Dani knocked on the doorframe.
I was sat in my chair spinning around slightly and toying with the diamond on my left hand finger. "It was a stupid fight, my stubbornness came out, but we were both in the wrong." I confessed. "Or maybe just me."
She sighed and plopped herself down in the chair across from me. "Well damn, I thought you would at least keep this one for a while." She joked. "I'm kidding." She rolled her eyes when she saw my not so amused face. "But really Y/n he is such a keeper."
"I know... that's why it's hurting so much to even think of losing him, I'm so in love with him Dani it's insane."
Dani nodded in understanding. "I get it, I mean if I had the hottest and sweetest lawyer in the world I'd be in love too." She laughed. "But we all know why you're really in love..."
I tilted my head to the side. "What's that?" My eyebrows were scrunched up in confusion.
"He probably gives you the best sex you've ever had." She smirked. I scolded her with a yelp of her name. "Am I wrong?" She asked with amusement laced in her voice. "Because he's a large man so he has to have a big package too."
I rolled my eyes. "No you aren't wrong." I whispered. "And yes he does have a very big erm- package." I smirked to myself.
She raised her eyebrows in triumph. "See girl! You need to keep him." Dani advised. "Everything always comes back to Matt, let his ass go hun. Kick the thought of him out to the curb, he's gone and never coming back." She stood up and gave my shoulder a pat.
"Hey Dani?" She paused in the doorway. "You're a really good friend you know that?"
She smiled and nodded. "Technically I'm one of the best friends." She made a peace sign and walked off.
I giggled to myself and went back to staring at my ring. Then I got the idea to go apologize to Chris. I was going to apologize first this time.

The firm he worked for was one of the biggest firms in Boston so of course I expected a bunch of people to be there. I didn't expect to be denied entrance to his floor. The downstairs receptionist being this guy name Trevor. "Is he seriously in a meeting right now?" I asked. Trevor nodded and slurped his cherry icee. I rolled my eyes. When I rolled them they settled on Tom walking in. "Tom!" I raced over to him in my stilettos.
His eyes widened when he saw me. "Y/n what's wrong why are you here? Chris said you wouldn't be around today."
"Did he?" I squinted at that. "Is he in a meeting?" I questioned. We continued walking to the elevator and I just blended in.
Tom nodded and pressed the button to go up and swiped his keycard. "Yeah he might still be in a meeting with one of his clients, you can come up with me and see." The doors opened and we stepped into the cart. "He should be done soon so you won't have to wait long."
The elevator jerked to a halt and we waited a second for the doors to open. When we got to his floor we saw Chris come out a room with another woman. She thanked him and he gave her that 'you're welcome smile', the one where his eyes crinkle and it's more lip than teeth. She visibly blushed and walked away. He had a way with women, it was a gift.
Tom started to walk again so I did as well. "You told Tom I wasn't coming by today?" I asked when I got closer. I stopped right at his chest.
Chris looked around before pushing me into his office and shutting and locking the door. "I didn't say that." He walked around to his chair. "I said I didn't expect you to be coming here today." He sat down and started typing away on his computer.
"Because I rarely apologize first?" I played with his desk items to busy myself, just like he was. He didn't say anything, but took a pause at his typing. "Chris..." I trailed off when I heard more typing. "Chris could you look at me." Chris sighed and looked up. "Jeez I get it you're mad and I'm sorry Chris I really am, I was emotional and I shouldn't have said the things I said."
Chris nodded and stood up. "I'm sorry too." He gave a sad smile. "I was wrong for pressuring you and not giving you the time and space you deserve."
"We were both in the wrong." I returned the somber smile. He opened his arms and I instantly leaned into them. "Are we okay now?"
Chris chuckled and placed a kiss on my forehead. "Yeah we good." He pulled back and held my hands. "You look beautiful by the way."
I smirked. "Thanks, you too."
"I love you." He whispered.
"I love you too." I leaned up to place a kiss on his pink lips.
Chris moaned into the kiss and brought his hands down to my waist to pull me closer. One hand reached back up to my neck in order to keep my head in place as he shoved his tongue into my mouth. I placed my arms around his neck to anchor myself. He slapped my ass causing me to yelp and moan into the kiss. He pulled away first. "I have about 15 minutes before another client comes in and I really wanna have make up sex."
I bit my lip and reached down to his belt buckle. "Well get on with it consular." Was all it took before he was picking me up and lying me down on his tiny couch in the corner of his office. "Ya know we never talked about the scene on the couch at home." I mumbled as I hit the couch cushions.
"There's nothing to y'all about, you obviously enjoyed yourself babygirl." Chris winked before placing his head between my thighs.
