Harry Styles
I told Lydia that I needed to talk to the boys about the party and that she should stay in her room to rest because it was going to be a long night. She was hesitant, but eventually agreed.
I could tell she was suspicious. The look in her eyes gave it away.
I can't believe I killed her brother.
I've killed so many people, and felt nothing. And, at the time, killing Luke felt like nothing. But now, the thought of the bullet ripping through his skull made me want to vomit.
When I left Lydia's room, I rushed downstairs to meet the other guys in the kitchen. They all snapped their heads to look at me and immediately noticed my sense of urgency.
"You alright, Styles?" Niall says, looking me up and down.
"Luke was her brother." I blurt out, not looking at the boys but at the ground. I was frantically running my hands through my hair.
"What?" Liam asks, walking towards me.
I can feel my breath quickening again. "Luke. Luke White. He's Lydia's brother." I say and look up at the guys. All of their eyes widen in realization.
"You shot him." Louis whispers. I look at him.
"I know." I say, my voice quiet and shaky.
"How did you find this out?" Niall says, eyes wide with worry.
"She told me. She said that a man approached her at the store." Niall and Louis exchange looks as I speak. "I think the man was O'Reilly." I say. All of the boys eyes grow wider.
"Alex?" Liam whispers. I nod.
"He asked her about me, and told her to get in contact with her brother." I continue. I see all of the boys faces. They're processing everything I'm saying.
"The Phantoms know about her. They know she's with me." I say, my voice just below a whisper. Louis runs his hands through his hair and walks over to me so that we're standing face to face.
"I don't know what to do." I say to him, but Niall and Liam heard it as well. Louis puts his hand on my shoulder and looks me in the eye.
"We'll figure something out." he says. I blink a few times, trying to regroup. Eventually, I nod at him as a response.
"We can work it out at the meeting tonight. We just have to keep Lydia away when we do." Niall says from behind Louis and Liam. I didn't know how we were going to pull this off. I couldn't be around Lydia if I was going to be discussing things with the gang, but then again, I didn't want her to leave my side in case she went off and talked to someone she shouldn't.
"How am I supposed to watch out for her while coming up with a plan?" I say out of frustration.
"You watch her, and we'll figure something out." Louis replies. I didn't like that idea. I didn't like not being in full control over my gang at every moment. But I also didn't like the idea of Lydia getting hurt or involved, so I didn't really have a choice.
The party was in a few hours. There was nothing I could do other than trust the boys.
They better not fuck this up.
I turn to exit the kitchen before stopping and saying to the boys.. "Make sure no one wears their jackets."
Lydia White
Thunder ripped through the sky as rain poured outside the house. I sat on my bed as I watched raindrops trickle down my window and collect at the bottom of it.
