Chapter Sixteen:
Bryce's POV
"Bryce! I'm so done with these sexual innuendos!" Blossom whines as I shut and lock the door behind us.
I beam at her, taking her hand and linking her dainty fingers through mine as we walk down the hallway together until we reach the elevator.
I don't miss how Blossom keeps tugging down the hem of the shirt that she's borrowing from me, but it's kind of comedic to watch her scowl as it rides up whenever she takes a step.
"Those are the shoes that you wore the day you came back from Florida, you know," Blossom randomly blurts out as I press the button to bring an elevator to our floor.
I can't help but for a slight smile to appear on my face, loving that she takes notes on little things about me just like I do her.
"Is that so? I'm impressed that you remember that," I tease her as the elevator door opens in front of us.
When I look down at my girl, she has a small little grin plastered across her face. She keeps a firm grip on my hand as she tugs me into the elevator, waiting for me to hit a button to bring us to the right floor before she rests her cheek against my arm.
"I never got to ask you; how was your tour today? You like the school, yeah?" I ask her, feeling the lurch of the elevator starting to move upwards.
She lets out something that sounds like a squeal, giving my hand a huge squeeze out of sheer excitement.
She's so fucking cute.
"It was so amazing, Bryce! It's all my dreams come true! Kennedy and I almost got lost when trying to drop off papers for student loans, which was really embarrassing, but I love the school so much already. I can't believe that I got in, but I'm so grateful," she gushes, a light shining bright in her eyes.
The elevator comes to a halt, and I wait a moment for the doors to open up before dropping her hand and instead wrapping my arm around her waist as I guide her off.
"I'm so happy to hear that. I'm glad that you're enjoying yourself," I tell her, which just seems to make her even happier as she catches me by surprise, straining up on her toes to pull my face down for a brief kiss.
Her lips press softly against mine, and when her fingers find the collar of my shirt, I know I'm a goner.
Kissing her makes me feel.
It's the best reminder that for some damn reason, she loves me, despite the fucked up shit that I've said to her out of spite and anger.
"C'mon. At this rate, we're not even going to make it to the pool," I whisper, pulling my lips away from hers just a fraction.
She giggles, keeping her arms wrapped around my waist as she pulls her face away from mine. I can only shake my head at her, walking over towards the door to the pool with her still pinned to my side.
Yanking the door open, I let her step inside first, where she immediately hurries over to one of the windowed walls, leaning against the rail to peer out over the city, her eyes wide.
"This is so amazing. I still can't believe that you actually live here," she says, scanning all the buildings around us.
I pull my shirt off over my head, dropping it onto one of the lounge chairs before slipping my shoes off too, approaching Blossom and resting my chin on the top of her head, feeling her let out a slight sigh of contentment.
"You probably don't want me to try and persuade you to move in again right now, huh?" I ask, to which she pinches my arm, tilting her head backwards to meet my eyes.
