"Coming behind you quickly, turn around now."
Steve followed her instructions quickly and raised his shield just in time to block the blow before kicking the man down.
"I'm working on getting lights in there. For now you've got three coming from different directions. First is at 5 o'clock. Then at 11, and the last ones coming from 2."
Steve threw his shield in the directions she gave him while she furiously typed away at her computer, trying to hack into the buildings security.
While still giving Steve instructions, she managed to get into the system.
"I'm in the security system. Lights coming on in three, two, one." She said, pressing a button.
The lights in the building all turned on and Steve could suddenly see all the men dressed in black around him.
He tried to fend them off but he was pretty outnumbered.
Natasha watched nervously and bit her lip. It was obvious that even Steve couldn't handle that many people on his own.
She stood up and went to the pilot of the jet. "Land the jet, we need to give him backup." She demanded.
The pilot shook his head. "I have strict orders from Captain Rogers to not let you leave the jet."
Natasha glared at the pilot. "Now you have strict orders from me. Land the jet."
The pilot remained still. Natasha cursed. She quickly removed him from his seat and took his place.
She brought the jet close to the ground and pressed the intercom again. "Steve get behind your shield."
"What? Why?"
Natasha sighed. "Just do it." She said.
Steve curled up behind his shield and Natasha opened fire on the building, taking out a significant amount of the agents fighting Steve.
She stopped and landed the jet. "There, now continue." She told him.
Steve stood up and started fighting more of the agents. It was as if they were coming out of nowhere.
Natasha watched nervously and eventually grabbed her gun. She drove the jet right up to the door and opened the back, shooting at whoever she could from the jet.
She wouldn't break her promise, but she could still fight.
Eventually, the agents started running towards Natasha as well.
Steve noticed her and ran towards the jet. "Natasha! What are you doing?!"
Natasha shot at each person coming towards her and hid behind a wall so her stomach was shielded from any bullets or weapons. "Saving your ass."
Steve ran besides her and continued fending off the people attacking them. "Damn it Nat. This isn't what I had in mind when I said stay on the jet."
She shrugged. "If I didn't do anything you'd probably be dead."
Steve rolled his eyes and knocked out the last of the people.
He shook his head and walked away from Natasha.
The pilot closed the doors and they took off again.
Natasha sat besides Steve and tried to look at him, but he kept his gaze on the ground.
Natasha sighed. "Look, Steve I'm sorry but I could let you just fight them all alone. You were outnumbered."
Steve shook his head. "I thought we agreed that you were staying in the air Nat? That's what was safest for you and the baby. So why didn't you just call for backup?"
Becoming slightly defensive, Natasha stood up. "Because by the time I did that you would have been dead, and I can't raise a child without you Steve."
Steve stood up with her. "If you get hurt during a mission and we lose the baby, their isn't a baby to raise alone. Natasha my life has to come after yours. It has too."
Natasha's throat tightened. "Steve I don't know anything about kids. I didn't have parents to see what to do and what not to do. I have no idea how to raise a child. Without you I'd be lost. That's why I came to get you."
Steve sighed and pulled Natasha to his chest gently, wrapping his arms around her.
"I know Nat. And I'm not upset, it's just scary to think I could lose you both."
Natasha breathed in his scent and sighed. "No more solo missions without me Steve. Please. Not until I can come help. If there's someone with you I won't be so nervous."
Steve nodded. "Okay. From now on I'll have backup with me."
Natasha sighed in relief. "Good. Now let's go home."
Steve nodded and kissed Natasha's forehead then her lips. "I love you Nat."
"I love you too." Natasha said, kissing Steve.
