Chapter 22

                                    

                                          
"Come, we can go back you silly mousebrains!" Goldenpaw whirled around and saw Firepaw waiting for them. She ran over and they headed back to camp. 
                          
When they reached camp, they could see a whole lot of work being done. Firepaw went to the apprentice den.
                          
"Guys go to your mentors and tell them you don't want to get in their way so you and Shiningpaw and Leopardpaw are going to go hunting." Leopardpaw instructed.
                          
"But I'm Shiningpaw, I can't say that I'm going hunting with myself." Shiningpaw objected.
                          
"Then instead say you're going hunting with me and Goldenpaw." Leopardpaw retorted. Shiningpaw nodded. Goldenpaw rushed over to Cloudpebble. 
                          
"Shiningpaw, Leopardpaw and I don't want to be in the way, is it ok if we go hunting together?" She asked. Cloudpebble nodded. Goldenpaw ran back to Shiningpaw and Leopardpaw. They were waiting for her.
                          
"Did your mentors say yes?" Bo of them nodded and Goldenpaw purred. Leopardpaw led them away. Goldenpaw happily bounded along. They came to a clearing and Leopardpaw stopped. Leopardpaw turned around to face Goldenpaw and Shiningpaw.
                          
"Let's see, Shiningpaw go into the shade of that tree and wish to be in the shade of that tree." Leopardpaw instructed, she flicked her tail towards a tree on the other side of the clearing. Shiningpaw nodded and padded to the first to the tree Leopardpaw had told her to go to. She closed her eyes and disappeared. Goldenpaw quickly looked to the other tree and Shiningpaw was there. 
                          
"Wow! You shadow ported!" Leopardpaw exclaimed. Shiningpaw looked surprised.
                          
"You try Leopardpaw." She said. Leopardpaw headed to the edge of the clearing. She looked at a tree on the opposite side of the clearing and raised her paw. She swung and almost immediately slash marks appeared on the tree. 
                          
"Amazing! That's how you always hurt me when we play fought." Goldenpaw giggled. Leopardpaw nodded.
                          
"You try." Goldenpaw nodded and looked around.
                          
"When I say so, rustle the branches on the bush as hard as you can. But first make sure there are no leaves touching e ground beside it." Goldenpaw instructed. She positioned herself opposite of the bush.
                          
"Now!" She called. Leopardpaw shook the bush and leaves began to fall off. Goldenpaw blinked twice and rushed forward. Just as she expected everything was in slow motion. Goldenpaw ran forward and grabbed all the leaves. She grabbed all of them before they touched the ground. Then Goldenpaw blinked twice. The slow motion stopped. Leopardpaw was staring at her with wide eyes. 
                          
"Guys." Goldenpaw purred. "We are the new three."
