"Who in the name of god left these flowers on the front porch?"

Mumbo grunted to himself, his eyes looking downwards at the bouquet of various flowers. He now lives alone, still in the same house he had grown to love and cherish. After asking the neighbours next door, who he had assumed that someone accidentally misplaced the flowers, Mumbo found no response from his fellow neighbours.

Ultimately, Mumbo decided to keep them as decoration for his home. He sighed, watching the raindrops fall onto his window, pattering noises that kept him awake. It almost felt like Mumbo didn't feel at home anymore, just busy trying to keep up the pace. His eyes scanned towards his computer screen, wanting an escape route again. Maybe this time, there won't be any more bouquets to make it seemed like Mumbo's girlfriend had been wanting him back for too long. It's too late to go back anyways.

Logging onto the server, it was strange for Mumbo. After all, it's been a while since he had logged back in. Right after Hermitcraft had ended, everyone seemed to have drifted away. While happy endings did emerge such as Zloy and Pixl finally meeting in real life and False announcing that she was getting married, Mumbo had began to fall behind from everything else. It's not like he wasn't motivated to do videos or make short films, but even himself started to notice the decline into reality. Hell, Mumbo doesn't even know why he began to call himself 'Mumbo' instead of his real name.

When logging back into the server, Mumbo was still in his base. Standing there, memories began to flow across his mind. He remembers Grian, his best friend that he never even got to say a proper goodbye to and now Mumbo feels like Grian had lost touch with him. The day he joined the Hermitcraft server, it was such a big deal for him. After remembering that you had to use fireworks in order to fly across the server, Mumbo was able to give a sense of nostalgia.

He accidentally hits onto a wall, taking fall damage. However when taking a step back to see if anyone else would be still on, Mumbo saw his store that he had built with Iskall and Grian - Sahara.

Mumbo immediately stopped. He stared at the Sahara building, it was now abandoned. And yet... the server felt alive because of these builds and how this was able to make memories that last for a life span.

When Mumbo entered inside the building, he was met with nothing but the same. In fact, nothing in the Hermitcraft server was ever touched. Nothing has been destroyed, it showed how much the players have respected the hermits as some sort of professional in playing a building and fighting game.

Upon inspecting the discussion room, which was where Grian along with Iskall and Mumbo would talk about the future plans of Sahara and how they were going to beat Concorp's business sales, Mumbo spotted a book that had fallen off the shelf.

Opening the book, Mumbo saw only two words written inside of it.

Flower Bouquet.

Then he remembers, the same flower bouquet?

No, it couldn't... Mumbo thought to himself, running back outside of Sahara. Is there really someone waiting for me this whole time?

Maybe this was another prank from Grian, but barely of the hermits even play on this server no more. His mind went to Iskall. Could it be Iskall?

And somehow, Mumbo remembered where was Iskall's base - the mushroom fields. The one where he would spend the night with his Mumbo, figuring out how to improve on redstone and stargaze into the sky as the sound of cows mooing annoyed them in a delightful way.

So there were the mushroom fields. Everything about it was ugly, but Mumbo loved it because it reminded him of Iskall. Finally landing onto the surface, he sees the familiar face. There were no more factory, seems like someone had the urge to actually destroy something in the server. It was left open, for many years. And not a single hermit had came back.

All except Iskall.

Yes, he had different worlds and places. But this server, for a long time has been Iskall's home. The reason why it was so hard to spot him was because of how people didn't care for the mushroom fields anymore compared to Iskall having to survive out of mushroom stew occasionally. For a while, Iskall had never thought the day would come.

The day that he gets to see Mumbo again.

Co-worker, no more than that.

More of a best friend? Likely more than friends.

Iskall turned, his body froze. Mumbo sees the new Iskall, his beard is trimmed and how he somehow manages to get back his right eye. One thing is for sure, Iskall's turn of smile once he saw Mumbo had never changed.

There was no need of words to speak out Iskall's love for Mumbo, waiting for the first person to realise that this server was their home. Their growing friendship and love. Iskall runs up and gives Mumbo a tight hug, his knees dropped down as tears streamed down his face.

Mumbo softly kissed him on the forehead, romantic or not this was the one thing Mumbo missed about Hermitcraft. Iskall's face buried onto Mumbo's shoulder, the two shared sweet compliments and 'I miss you's'. The bouquet made sense, it did.

The flowers upon greeting Mumbo, it was a sign for him to come back. To see his best friend smile, as cliche as it sounded right there.

Iskall wiped his tears away, finally being able to speak. Such a simple saying, but it changed Mumbo forever as a person.

"Jag är kär I dig."
