When you transferred to UA high as a second year hero from America, you didn't really expect to be accepted into all of the different cliques easily. Especially since you were shy, quiet, and often looked threatening, since your resting face wasn't a kind one. Everyone just assumed you didn't want to have a conversation, but you truly wanted to make friends, as long as you didn't have to initiate interaction yourself.

The friendship group you desperately wanted to join was that of an angry boy named Bakugo. He was one of the leaders of your class, even if no one would admit it. He caught your attention, purely because of his looks at first, but you slowly came to find him hilarious. Since you weren't 100% fluent in Japanese yet, you couldn't always understand what he was yelling about, although you became acquainted with the words 'die', 'Deku', and 'fuck' in Japanese. Those were not words you learned in your Japanese class, so you were halfway thankful for his introduction to hateful language, even if it was unintentional.

When Bakugo wasn't yelling at the green-haired kid, he was helping you translate. Often he did it out of anger by saying "That's the wrong word idiot, you meant to say this:" and would explain it to you. You just felt like he couldn't stand to hear your broken language, so you brushed it off and took his advice with a grain of salt. One time he told you the wrong word, and you called Aizawa a hoe in front of the whole class. Aizawa merely sighed and scolded Bakugo, letting you off the hook. That was easily the most devastating moment of your life, but at least it made Katsuki laugh. Boy, did he laugh after that incident.

You and Bakugo had a rivalry after that day, which you found hilarious. Bakugo took everything so seriously, while you would shrug him off easily. The thing that made him the most angry was when you laughed in his face while he was screaming at you. You swore you saw steam come out of his ears one time as he was walking away, absolutely fuming. You just saw him as a little angry chihuahua, which you didn't know how to explain to him in his native language. So when you called him "tiny mad dog", he caught your drift and just walked off, trying not to punch a wall. It was easy for him to hide his true feelings for you by pretending to hate you 24/7, so that's what he did.

You were seated in the cafeteria, eating your lunch next to the girls in your class, when you saw Bakugo across the room. He met your eyes and scowled as you smiled at him. While he was distracted, he tripped on the shoelaces he often left undone to look cool, and smacked the floor, an audible slam sounding. You could feel the pure rage emanating off of him from across the room, and you were utterly afraid of what would happen next. Nonetheless, you rushed to see if he was okay. You saw him laying on the ground, still in the position that he was in when he first fell. "Bakugo, are you okay?" you yelled in his face.

Instead of an actual response, he growled at you. You tried to help him stand, but he pulled away quickly, and stood up on his own. He looked like he was about to explode you and the whole school as well. "I'm gonna get you back some day, nerd," he growled. Your breath caught in your throat. You didn't think he would kill you on purpose. Maybe he would "accidentally".

"If you think about it, it's not my fault you fell," you exclaimed.

"Yeah right. I know you could have with your quirk." It was true. With your quirk, you basically had telekinesis. You could control people's bodies and objects around them at will. So it wasn't crazy for him to think that you tripped him. You didn't of course, but you were scared that he thought you did. If so, he would probably give you hell for the remainder of your life.

"I swear I didn't, Bakugo!" you worried. He scoffed and stomped off, leaving you feeling a new sort of fear. He had never seemed that mad.

Later that day, during hero training, Aizawa announced that the class would be sparring today. Simple, simple sparring. You began to get excited, because that was your favorite thing to do. You walked over to Jirou, wanting to ask her to be your sparring partner, when an aggressive hand spun you around. You were met with the face of Bakugo, still as contorted as earlier. "It's you and me, punk," he asserted.
