Updating is crazy today. There's only a few chapters left until this story comes to an end.
"Well, I'm going to be burnt." I look at myself in the mirror. My face was red and my skin was on fire. I hate the beach. Mainly because of this shit.
I saw Julie standing behind me, smiling. "It'll be ok." She lightly kisses my shoulder. "It's worth it, right?"
"I guess." I turn around. "So, what else is planned? Cause I'm going to be disappointed if the whole beach thing was the trip."
She smiles as she sits on the bed. "No, it wasn't. I just thought we could go down to the beach."
"Yeah, nothing screams fun like going down to the beach and getting sand everywhere." I roll my eyes.
She chuckles then pats her legs. "Come here."
I sat down in her lap. She wrapped her arms around me and gently kisses my cheek. I smiled as I turned my head and connected our lips. I wrap my arms around her neck as I deepened the kiss.
She pulls back and looks at me with a smile on her lips. She pulls a strand of hair behind my ear and stares at me. I could see in her eyes how much she likes me, but I also saw-
"We should go down and grab something to eat." She spoke.
After we changed, we walked down to grab something to eat. I look around at everyone who was sitting down and eating. All the different people who knew nothing about us.
I look over at Julie as she was dipping her french fry into ketchup. She pops it in her mouth and we lock eyes. She covers her mouth, smiling. "What?"
I shrug, smiling. I start eating, which was a hamburger. As soon as I picked it up, I saw grease dripping from the bottom. I made a face as I took a bite then caught Julie watching me.
I lick the mustard from my lips then tilt my head. "What?"
She chuckles then grabs a napkin. She leans over a little and wipes my chin. She leans back and smiles. "You had mustard on your chin."
I shrug as I continue eating. Every now and then I could see her watching me and it made me nervous. Even though I've been around her for a few weeks now, I still get nervous around her.
"We should go sight-seeing." Julie held onto my hand as we were walking down the sidewalk, after eating. "That'll be fun, right?"
I smile, agreeing. I couldn't say no to a whole fucking weekend with Julie.
We walked hand-in-hand and I smiled as I looked around. This place was a few hours away from where we lived, so I know people wouldn't recognize us.
As we were walking, a few people passed us and stared. I didn't let it bother me as I kept looking around. It was crazy how this place was pretty close to the beach. No wonder it felt really hot even though fall is pretty close.
I felt Julie kiss my temple. I look over at her as she smiles at me then squeezes my hand. We keep walking until we come to this ice cream place. We walked inside and I looked around as she pulls me to the counter.
"What can I get you ladies?" The man behind the counter smiled.
Julie looks at me. "What do you want?"
I scan the flavors on the board behind the counter. I look at all the different flavors and to be honest, they all look good.
"Cookies 'n cream."
She orders for us then looks over at me, smiling. I couldn't help but smile at her. Her smile literally made my heart do flips.
We grabbed our ice creams as soon the man gave it to us. I followed Julie to a table then we sat down.
"How come they have ice cream when summer is basically over?" I ask as I lick the side of the cone from the ice cream melting.
Julie shrugs. "Not sure." I watch as she eats her ice cream until her eyes caught mine.
I smile then continue eating as my eyes scanned around the ice cream place. It had a few people in here but not a lot, which didn't surprise me.
After the ice cream place, we spent the day just walking away and enjoying each other's company. We saw a lot of cool things and it was honestly the best feeling ever being with Julie.

I yawned as I laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling. The day literally drained me. I was exhausted. Julie was taking a shower as I was staring at the patterns on the ceiling.
I got up to walk to the balcony. It was late in the evening and the sun was setting, which looked beautiful.
I leaned on the railing as I stared at the horizon. The air was a little chilly but it had a warmth to it. I looked down at the people walking the sidewalk and the cars driving by.
I got lost in looking at everything that I didn't know Julie was behind me until she wrapped her arms around my waist. I smiled as she kissed my shoulder. I continued to look at the sunset.
"It's so beautiful." Julie whispered in my ear.
I smile as I felt chills down my back. "Yeah, it is."
We stood there for a moment until I felt Julie pulling away. She turns me around and I watch as she grabs my face then kisses me gently. I grab her waist as I kiss her back.
She pulls back and presses her forehead against mine. We stare at each other as Julie's eyes are focused on my eyes. "You make me feel so many things, Skylar. All at once."
I smile as I felt my heart thump. "You do that to me too."
"I need to ask you a question," She breathed out. I stared at her as her eyes were locked on mine
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
