"Y/N, as long as I have you by my side, then we can get through anything. Don't you believe that?" I was stunned. Just when I think that I can't love him any more than I already do, he proves me wrong. My love for him just keeps growing. I felt like it would swallow me whole. I leaned towards him and pressed my lips to his, softly. "I do now." I whispered, softly. "I was going to explain to you why it was hard for me, then I was going to tell you that I wanted to set the date right now." He blinked, his eyes growing wide. "Wait, what?" He stammered out. "Are you serious? Is this another prank y/n, don't mess with me like this!" I laughed. "No, you dork! I'm serious. I want it to be in the fall. Is that okay with you? The weather will nice enough for an outdoor wedding maybe?" I looked at him, hopeful that he would like the idea. There was that big, beautiful smile that I loved oh so much. "We could literally have someone marry us right here, and I would be fine with that. As long as I get to say I do to you...but yeah, an outdoor wedding sounds amazing. The beach?" I paused. I hadn't thought of that. Why hadn't I thought of that? We both loved the beach and the ocean would give a beautiful scenery for the photos. "That's actually perfect." I said, my smile matching his. "We could just get married barefoot." His eyes narrowed a little. "I can't tell if you're joking or not." I laughed at his expression. "I'm not! We'll be on the beach so we can either wear flip flops or sandals, or go barefoot. We aren't going to wear dress shoes on the beach!" "Right." He replied, looking a little perplexed. "So...Octobeeeer.....17th?" He asked. "Why that date?" I replied. He shrugged. "You told me once that your dad had the number 7 tattooed on his hand for his lucky number. I know that the 7th is a little too early in the month, so the 17th." My heart swelled again. "You remember that? I only told you that one time, the first night that we met." He smiled. "Of course I do. You told me that your dad passed away when you were really young and that your mom raised you by herself, never marrying again because she believed that your dad was her one true love." I was overwhelmed now. I stared at him, amazed. "How are you real?" I asked, truly wanting to know. There is no way that he was meant for me. "I don't deserve you." I said, reaching up to place my hand on his cheek. "You're amazing." He leaned his face into my palm, then turned and kissed it, placing his own hand over mine. "You make me amazing." We were silent for a moment, staring into one another's eyes, until Colby broke the silence. "So, are you making me wear a tux or what?" He said, smiling. I smiled back, coyly. "Well, of course. It wouldn't be a wedding without you in a tux...plus, I just really want to see you in one." I waggled my eyebrows at him and he laughed. "Can we compromise?" He asked. "Maybe..." "How about a suit instead?" I sighed. "Oh okay...you're still pretty hot in those too." He laughed again, his deep chuckle reverberating through the apartment. "I feel like a piece of meat that you're putting on display." "But you're my piece of meat baby." I said sweetly, kissing him on the cheek and laughing. "Oh, well that's okay then." He replied, shrugging his shoulders. "Dork." I replied, smiling. "After we say our I do's, you can take the jacket off and have a short sleeve button up on under it. Maybe wear some shorts under your pants. That way, the reception can just be a beach party. How does that sound? I'll wear a bathing suit under my dress." He nodded. "This is starting to sound more and more like my kind of party." I giggled and pulled out my phone. "Wait," I calculated the months in my head. "We only have 4 months to get this whole thing set up." "That's plenty of time!" Colby exclaimed. "Clearly, you have no idea what goes into a wedding." He shrugged. "I don't, actually." I laughed. "It had to be planned early so that if anything goes wrong, we have enough time to fix it. Plus I found the perfect dress on Pinterest, but I have to find out who's brand it is, and find it here." "Really?" He asked, leaning towards me. "You found the dress you want? Can I see it?" "NO," I exclaimed, putting my phone back up so that he couldn't take it. "It's bad luck for you to see it before I walk down the aisle...or the beach. Whatever." He held his hands up in defense. "Okay, okay, geez." I laughed and rolled my eyes. "Have you told anyone else that you're ready to start planning and stuff?" He asked me. I shook my head. "Nope. I wanted to tell you first." He leaned towards me, his lips a breath away from mine. "Lucky me." He whispered, before he pressed his lips down onto mine, forcefully, taking my breath away. I leaned back into the couch, his body following mine, my arms going up and around his neck. "We still have things we should talk about." I said, as he pulled his shirt over his head. "Uh huh, sure. Like what?" He asked, before he started kissing my neck, leaving a wet trail down to my collarbone. I moaned a little. "Like...." I was losing my train of thought. "Vows." It came back to me. "Our vows." He moved to the other side of my neck. "Are we writing our own, or using the traditional ones." He moved back up to my mouth, sweeping his tongue across my bottom lip. "I'm writing my own. I want you to know in my own words, how you make me feel and what I feel for you." I smiled, my heart melting. "I would love that. We're writing our own vows then." "Yes we are." He replied, as he lay me down onto the couch.
