Monday

You sat on the sofa, head in your hands, tears rolling down your cheeks. As you heard the door unlocking you quickly wiped away your tears and plastered a smile on your face. The door opened and Jeff walked in, post-team lunch, practically bouncing with joy. "Babe, you'll never believe what happened to Jack this morning-" he cut off seeing your red eyes and tear-stained cheeks. He rushed over to you. "What's wrong, (y/n)?"

"I got the job," you said weakly.

"That's great! We should be celebrating! Are you not happy about it?" Jeff grabbed your hand and held it softly in his.

"I don't know how to feel. Th-they said that I would need to move to Australia," you let out, feeling your eyes start to water again. Jeff froze.

"Well that's okay, babe," he smiled. "It's your dream job. We can make this work. All we need-"

"We both know that's not realistic. It's a 14 hour time difference and no matter how hard we try, it won't work out in the end," you sobbed. He wrapped his arms around you, engulfing you in a hug. "I'm not going to take the job. I can't leave you." Pulling away, he placed both hands on your shoulders.

"You're going to take this job. It's been your dream to do this for longer than I've known you. You've sacrificed enough for me and I won't let you give this up too," he whispered, a stray tear falling.

"I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too." Jeff pressed his lips softly against yours before pulling away and bringing you back into his embrace. "So, how long do we have until you leave and meet some sexy, Australian hunk?" he joked, still crying.

"They said that they would book a flight for Friday if I accepted the job."

"Okay, so we have 5 days. (y/n), what do you want to do?"

"Spend every minute with you," you buried your head even further into his neck. Blushing, Jeff rubbed circles on your back.

"Well how about I make dinner tonight and you can choose the movie?" he murmured.

You spent the rest on the day lying on the sofa curled up into Jeff's side before he got up to 'cook', meaning he almost burned down the house and ended up ordering pizza.

Tuesday

You woke up to sunlight streaming in through the blinds and Jeff kissing your forehead gently. "Baby I have a surprise for you today so you have to get ready right now," he said cheerfully. Groaning, you dragged yourself out of bed and into a sundress before Jeff pulled you out of the house and into his car.

Starting the engine, he passed a piece on cloth over to you. "I'm going to need you to wear the blindfold, doll."

"Sure thing, Mr Grey," you giggled, tying the fabric in a knot at the back on your head.

"Please don't," he laughed, shoving your shoulder slightly.

After an hour Jeff finally stopped the car and helping you out, he untied the blindfold. Pulling it away from your face, you gasped and gazed at the field ahead which was littered with flowers while Jeff went to grab something from the car. You felt yourself tearing up when he reappeared holding a chequered blanket and a basket. "Don't cry, (y/n). We're meant to be having fun," he said, slinging his free arm around your shoulder as you walked into the field.
