"Fe, can we get a puppy?" It was 9 am. I was sat at the kitchen table eating my breakfast and Jack was stood up making coffee.

"A puppy?" I asked, not all too sure if I heard him correctly.

"Yes. A puppy. I want one." He repeated as he finished off makking our coffees.

"That's a bit of a big commitment don't you think?" He carried over the coffees, handed mine to me and sat opposite me at the table.

"Oh come on. It's not like I just asked you to adopt a kid with me."

"Dogs are a lot of hassle though, especially puppies." I saw Jack frown and he folded his arms. I put my cup to my lips and slowly drank the coffee so I didn't burn my tongue.

"Ok then. If I can't have a puppy, then I want a child." I coughed and choked on my drink, nearly spitting it out and spraying it everywhere.

"A child?"

"Which one would you rather let me have right now, a puppy or a child?"

"A puppy, definitely." He smiled and stood up, even though he had only been sitting down for about a minute.

"Wait, so I can have one?! Aw thanks babe, I love you so so much!" He smirked before coming over to me and hugging me from behind. I couldn't believe he won.

"Right, I'm gonna go get ready for that excuse of a physiotherapist." Before I got a chance to reply, he left the room and jogged up the stairs to get ready.

The doctor said he would only have a few more sessions left because of the improvement he had made. We had taken the wheelchair back to the hospital because he didn't need it anymore. If he got tired or his legs gave in, he used crutches instead. I just couldn't wait for it all to be over and everything to just be calm and normal and for there to be no drama and chaos.

I was brushing my teeth. Jack gets ready really quickly and came into the bathroom after about 5 minutes, with his hair tidy, teeth brushed and wearing a Cloak t-shirt and black jeans. He wrapped his arms around me and gently kissed my neck.

"Can we get a pug?" He asked. I couldn't help but chuckle at him.

"You really want a puppy don't you?" He nodded furiously, removing his arms from around my waist. He sat on the toilet lid and crossed his legs, watching me as I brushed my teeth.

"A pug specifically."

"Why?"

"Have you ever looked at one? They're so cute! Fe, you NEED that cuteness in your life." I wiped my mouth with a towel and placed my toothbrush in a bowl. I turned to face Jack.

"But I do. I have you." He smiled before crossing his arms and shaking his head.

"Nice try, I still want a pug." He stood up and left the bathroom to go downstairs. I rolled my eyes and giggled before entering the bedroom to get changed. I didn't wear anything fancy, I grabbed the first things I saw and put them on. I tidied my hair up the best I could by brushing it and putting a little bit of gel in it. Then I went downstairs to find Jack.

At first I couldn't find him. He wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"Jack, you down here?" I heard him before I saw him.

"You know what we could do?" He said, walking into the living room and placing his hands on my shoulders.

"We could get a rescue dog."

"A what?" He rolled his eyes and removed his hands.

"A rescue dog. You know, like, one from a pound? The ones that everyone leaves behind and never wants cuz there's something wrong with them."

"If there's something wrong with them then why do we want one?"

"Because that's the point! If there's something wrong with it, nobody else will want it. It won't get a home and it'll live in the pound forever, but we can get one and make it happy!" I found it adorable how passionate he was about this. He'd always had such a big heart.

"Ok, I get that. But if there's something REALLY wrong with it, is there any point in getting one?" He pouted and looked at the floor.

"I mean, there's a lot of things wrong with me but a coma and a kiss later, we're dating..." I put a finger under his chin and made him look up at me.

"Hey, there's nothing wrong with you." He laughed and widened his eyes.

"Ha ha, yeah, wanna bet?" He argued back.

"Seriously though. I mean, sure, you have your flaws, but everybody does. You're the closest thing to perfect on this planet." He smiled and wrapped his arms around my neck.

"You're really sweet Felix." He kissed my lips gently before letting go of me and walking into the kitchen.

"But I still hate myself!"
