Brandon's pov
So when this Percy Jackson dude led me to this 'camp' I started to feel suspicious. I mean who calls me 'demigod'? I kept thinking of the word when I stumbled but regained my balance. I looked down to see what tripped me and saw it was a dead rat. I looked back to Percy and saw that he didn't know that I stopped. I used this advantage to used my lazer eyes. People might be curious why my eyes are red and sometimes look like it burned something. It's true though, I looked down at the dead rat and focused. I shot three beams at the thing and it turned to ashes. What I didn't know was that Percy was right behind me now and when I turned he was gaping like a fish. I rolled my eyes. ''C'mon dude. Stop staring at my fucking coolness and walk or I'll turn you to ashes.'' He paled and nodded still in shock. I chuckled and put a hand on his shoulder. I stared around and asked,''Where is the god damn place? We've been walking for...I don't know, hours?!'' He chuckled and said it's just ahead but I better brace myself. I rolled my eyes at him and shot things with my lazer eyes. When I was about to shoot at figure infront of us, his eyes widened and he yelled. ''Wait! Don't shoot him, he's good. He's the guard of Camp Half-blood.'' I gave him a weird expression but didn't shoot. We walked closer and I saw that it was a big dragon. I ran to it and scratched its chin. Percy grabbed my wrist and led me through the gate. The first thing that shocked me was the houses or cabin or whatever. Percy raised an eyebrow and said,''Welcome to Camp half-blood, where demigods or half-bloods live to get away from monsters. So later on we'll see who is your godly parent.'' I thought of my mom, she seems good enough to be a goddess or my dad whom I've never met. My mom never found out that I have lazer-shooting eyes. I was afraid she would disown me when she finds out I'm a freak. I never thought of myself a freak though I thought it was cool to have lazer eyes. Suddenly, I was having a memory I had before. I lost my memories so I thought, why not have a flashback for a while.
flashback
I was in a room. My mom was crying but she faked a smile while she tucked me into bed. She kissed my forehead and said,''You will always be my moonlight. I love you, forever until I die.'' I cooed in delight and touched her fingers. She stood and backed away in the shadows. I saw a pair of eyes and cried to tell my mom to watch out but I couldn't because I was still young and couldn't form words. She looked back too late and she screamed. I jumped up and shot my lazer eyes but the pair of eyes were gone. I was too late.
flashback over
I woke up with a start that I hit my head in the ceiling. I groaned and opened my eyes. My vision was still blurry from the flashback so when a face appeared above me, my eyes widened and I shot the face with my lazer beam eyes. He screamed and backed away. When I rubbed my eyes, I saw that I hit a guy that looks like the doctor or something. I saw a pair of red dots on his forehead and I laughed out so much until my stomach ached. I haven't laughed like that in years. I didn't 'cause I lost everything and there was nothing to laugh about. I lost my mom the one who cared about me. I never even met my dad and I don't even know if I had siblings or a pet much more a friend! The dude pulled out an ice pack and placed it on his forehead, he stared at me in shock. He shook his head and sighed.''So you feeling good?'' I smirked and said,''I feel like I want to shoot something again.'' He paled and I chuckled. ''Just kidding. Jeez, can't I have sense of humor?'' He just gave me a confused look and told me I could go. When I opened the door I turned back and said,''Yo! Do you know where Percy is?'' He turned and said,''C'mon,I'll show you. I'm on a break now anyways.'' I thanked him and on the way we were filled with an awkward silence. I looked around and saw people staring at us. I gave them death glares and they ran away. The doctor dude probably noticed but didn't mind. Finally, he filled the awkward silence with a question.''So what's your name? What happened back there too?'' I was about to say my name but was rudely interrupted by someone calling my name. ''BRANDON!'' And one that point I knew my mood would change from calm to pissed off. My ears were already bleeding and I knew I would explode anytime. I sighed and said bye to the dude.
