"Ryder! Lets go!" I yell.
"I'm coming!" He says, hopping down the hallway trying to put his shoe on.
I roll my eyes and walk outside and to his car.
He unlocks the door and I climb inside.
He get in and leaves our drive-way.
"I heard you went on a date yesterday" Ryder smiles.
"It wasn't a date" I sigh "We had to get costumes for our dance"
"Was it a football guy?" He asks.
"Yeah"
"Which one?"
"William Sanders" I state.
"Ew. Don't date him" Ryder says, wrinkiling his nose.
"I would never" I say, shaking my head.
"Good, he's a selfish idiot who has everything handed to him" Ryder explains.
"He's not Marissa" I say.
"They come from the same parents"
Marissa is Wills older sister, Ryder and her were high school sweethearts until she cheated on his senior year.
We pull into the studio parking lot and park.
I get out and walk into the studio.
I didn't have a private for another three hours, so Ryder was going to go shopping before then.
"Good morning!" Paige smiles.
"Good morning" I smile.
"Mrs. Hanna wants to see you in studio A before your tap class"
I nod and head into the changing room, slipping off my sweatpants to reveal shorts.
I kept my t-shirt on but slipped off my jacket.
I put on some slides and go into studio A where Jordan and Mrs. Hanna were already sitting.
I furrow my eyebrows but go and sit next to Jordan.
"Good morning!" Mrs. Hanna smiles.
I smile back "What's going on?"
"Well...I'm giving you two a duet"
"But I already-"
"I cut it"
My stomach drops.
"Mason is going to kill me" Jordan mutters.
"Mason and I have been doing duets for years!" I state.
"I understand that, but Jordan and You are the best at Hip Hop, and I decided to enter a hip hop duet" Mrs. Hanna explains.
That didn't sound like an excuse Mrs. Hanna would use.
Something else was going on.
"Does Mason know?" I ask.
"No" Mrs. Hanna states "He wont be in for another hour, so he'll find out then"
I nod.
"You are missing your tap class to learn this routine" mrs. Hanna explains "So stretch out"
We nod, getting up as she leaves the room.
"Well..." Jordan sighs "Mason is going to kill me"
"No he wont" I shrug "It's buissness, If Mrs. Hanna wants us to do a duet, then we have to do it" I shrug.
"Your right" Jordan laughs "It just feels like-"
"Mrs. Hanna is hidding something" We say at the same time, them burst into laughter.
"I wonder if she cut the other duet" I frown.
"She might've, Makyala was a part of that one, right? Maybe she wants 'Kayla to focus on that" Jordan suggests.
"Maybe" I sigh.
Zane walks in "I'm choreographing your duet!"
Jordan and I smile at each other "Yes!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Perfect chemestry!" Zane smiles.
"Thanks" I say out of breath.
"You two make a great pair, Hanna should give you two duets more often" Zane explains.
"But she doesn't because Mason and Ava hace had duets since they were minis" Jordan says, catching his breath.
"Well if she wants to win more with hip hop, Here's her answer" Zane states.
Jordan and I high five.
"You guys are dismissed, See ya!" Zane says.
"Bye!" I smile, walking out of the door.
"See ya!" Jordan smiles.
We walk out of the studio laughing and is met with Mason, head in his hands.
I gulp and walk to my dance bag, putting on my jazz shoes.
"How was duet practice?" Mason asks.
"Fine" Jordan shrugs.
"That's good" Mason nods.
"Sorry about our duet being cut" I frown.
"It's fine, I'm the lead in the group dance, so Mrs. Hanna wants me to focus on that" Mason explains.
"BS" Jordan calls "Something is up with her"
"Makayla is in there being cut from her duet, Kendal is taking her spot" Mason explains.
"What is going through that womans mind" Jordan shakes his head.
"Well I'm sure we will know soon enough" I shrug.
The jazz class gets released and I stand up "See you guys later"
