Bey POV
Ever since I made the Instagram post for the most part people were truly supportive. Mostly saying they just wanted to see me happy. I honestly wasn't completely stopping everything but Im definitely moving at my own pace. A hiatus to grow, experiment and learn more about life. Everything in my life since high school was completely in full speed. From college, to business, to love, motherhood, marriage and stardom. My body went through tons of changes after giving birth and I didn't even get to fully appreciate my new curves, attitude and insight on life. I never gave myself a chance to breathe. And I was finally ready to explore this life. I was back to pulling loans for businesses here and there but for the most part, I was supporting Nicki. I volunteered at the center to speak to the young girls and helped her whenever she needed assistance. I saw her happiness slowly come back and I was happy. Being with blue 24/7 now is great too. Just seeing the mannerisms she does is so me as a child. But she's learning very fast that she will get popped if she doesn't act correctly.
I was finishing up cooking dinner when Nicki came in the house and walked in the kitchen.
" hey baby" she said.
"Hey How was work?"
"Work was okay. I missed y'all in the office with me today. The kids love Blue too."
"Monday I'll come in with you. I was thinking this weekend we can have a date night. Mom can take Blue."
"Just us?"
"Just us. No double dates or anything."
"Okay. What you cooking cause it smells so good?"
"Honey glazed salmon, rice & asapagus."
"Mmm Okay. Do I have time to shower?"
"It'll be done in like 15 so you should be good."
She nodded giving me a kiss before going upstairs.
"Mommyyy" Blue yelled from the movie room.
"Yes" I said walking in.
"I hungry." She said rubbing her eyes.
"Mommy made you chicken nuggets and fries for tonight Okay?"
She just nodded her head.
"Come here you're tired huh?"I asked picking her up.
"Yes" she whispered laying on my shoulder.
"It's okay. You'll eat and then I'll give you a bath."
"Otay."
Walking back to the kitchen placing her in her chair and plating the food. 2 minutes later Nicki came down.
"Hi baby" she said kissing Blues forehead.
"Hi mama".
"She's tired. We played a lot today."
"Awww you have funny with mommy?"
"Yes".
We said grace and began eating.
"So someone turns 3 soon. Something simple?"
"Yes Like here and backyard simple" Nicki said.
"I'm cool with that."
We talked about various things and then she cleaned up as I got Blue ready for bed. Bath time was quick cause babygirl was really tired. Placing her under her covers she mumbled "read please". I grabbed a book as Nicki joined us. Half way through she was knocked out. I showered and met Nicki in bed.
I sighed in relaxation.
"You tired?" She asked.
"A little bit but I can talk if you want."
"How are you feeling Bey?"
"I'm good. I really love this. You coming home, family dinner, bedtime stories then bed. I know my hiatus will probably last a year then I'll start working on some things lowkey."
"That's fine. I want to have a child. Just want to make sure we're in agreement."
"That's fine baby. I want another one too. Blue getting big now."
"Yeah. I just want to experience it before I get older."
"Yeah that's completely fine baby. You're gonna be so damn cute pregnant. I can't wait."
She smiled.
"Any time period?"
"Whenever you're ready Nika."
"Okay."
I kissed her lips then forehead and held her. Before you know it we both went to sleep.
Nicki POV
It's been a few months since Bey and I had the talk about having another baby. And since we agreed whenever I'm ready, I want to surprise her. Blue turned 3 a few weeks ago so I feel the time is right.
I pulled up to Shawn's gate putting the code in.
"Hey sis" he said opening the door.
"Hey".
We went to sit in the living room.
"Everything good? You said it was urgent."
"Yeah Everything is great. Bey and I are doing well. I spoke with her some months ago about having a baby and she said whenever I was ready she was. I want to surprise her hopefully for Valentine's Day since we haven't done much due to touring and stuff. So I wondering if you'd help again."
"Uh Yeah I got you Nic. Y'all forsure ready?"
"Yeah. Especially with the way my job is set now, I'll work from home most of the time. So I can relax this whole pregnancy."
"iight. When you setting up an appointment?"
"Monday morning I set one up just in case. Cause she's always booked."
"Okay cool."
We chatted til Rih came back with a sleeping Majesty.
"Hey y'all" she said.
"Hey sis".
"What y'all doing?"
"Nothing I just came over to ask Shawn if he'd do me a favor with doing a procedure."
"Ohhhh you ready for baby number 2?"
"Yeah we both are. But Bey doesn't know I'm doing it now. She said she was cool whenever I was ready so I wanna surprise her."
"Y'all sicknin with surprises I can never just say anything and be happy."
"Well if all goes well I want to be able to tell her on Valentine's Day."
"Y'all cute" She said laughing.
"Well alright imma leave out so I can cook dinner tonight for the fam".
"Bye Nic."
Driving home Bey called me. I connected my Bluetooth.
"Hello?"
"Hey where are you?"
"Stopped by Shawn's for a second but I'm driving home now. Why what's up?"
"Nothing major. Blue just wants to play in the yard but I was gonna start cooking dinner."
"Don't worry. I'll cook tonight. Anything in particular that you want?"
"Umm it doesn't matter."
"Okay well do we have steak? Cause I'll just cook on the grill while y'all play."
"Yeah we do. And that's fine."
"Okay I'll be home in like 10 minutes I'm just up the road."
"Alright. Love you"
"Love you too".
Just as estimated 10 minutes later I was punching in our security code.
Walking around the house to the back I stayed quiet watching Blue tackle Bey.
"So you tackling mommy now?" I said.
She quickly turned around and started running my way.
"Mamaaaa" She said smashing into my legs.
"Hey baby girl" I said picking her up and kicking my heels off to walk to Bey.
"Hey baby" I said kissing her lips.
"Hey".
"How was your day with mommy?"
"Good! We played all day and painted!"
"Wowwwww! Sounds like fun!"
"Mhmmm" She said smiling and nodding.
"How was work" Bey asked.
"Chill. Tutoring and then sports after. I got two more tutors because our kids increased."
"Nice. It's not too crowded?"
"Nah we have plenty of space. I might get more tables though to put in the two empty rooms we usually use as quick storage."
"Oh that would work."
"Yep. But lemme just change real quick and I'll start dinner."
"Okay I already put it in the marinade"
"Thank you."
I put Blue down and she went back to playing as I put on some throw around clothes, fired up the grill and watched them play. When food was done, I grabbed the bowl of salad and brought it out to the deck with plates. I made Blues plate then ours and we dug in. Today was the weekend so we decided to have movie night in our room with Blue. I can't lie, ever since everything went back to our normal schedule, Blue has been so happy. Midway through the movie Blue was knocked out right with Bey I just laughed turning the movie off.
