Roman POV
I kept knocking on Virgil's door hoping that he would answer me. I've been here for a minutes now. I could feel tears rolling down my cheeks.Virgil!" I screamed again, pounding on the door. I needed him to answer. I needed to see him to know he was okay.
Seeing all those bruises on him really puts it into perspective on how much those pills destroy him. It honestly hurt seeing Virgil so hurt. Having to hear that Thomas was taking those pills again made me furious with him.
"VIRGIL PLEASE ANSWER ME!" I yelled, I felt a rage and fear inside me I've never felt before. I couldn't loose Virgil. I couldn't stand to loose Virgil. I can't loose him.
I love him so fucking much that his pain causes me pain. I need to help him. I was about to yell for him again when I heard the lock click.
"Roman...help me..." I heard Virgil say. His voice sounded pained. Fear filled me.
I quickly grabbed the doorknob and pushed the door open. I could only open the door a few inches. I could see Virgil's feet so I knew he was there.
I pushed the door open forcibly. Once it was open wide enough, I pushed myself into the room. I quickly knelt down besides Virgil.
"Roman..." He whispered.
"I'm here Virgil...it's okay...I'm here." I said while pulling him into my lap. I held his hand tightly. He was digging his finger nails into my hand.
Both of us were sobbing. I pulled Virgil farther into my lap. He was completely limp. I rocked back and forth, holding him tightly.
"I can't breath..." Said Virgil, barely more than a whisper.
"Take deep breaths. I'm right here." I told him.
"I can't feel my legs...or my arms..." He muttered. I could barely hear him at this point. A furious rage filled me towards Thomas. How dare he hurt Virgil like this. Even if it wasn't intentionally, he still should've known better.
"Just hold on Virgil. Onto anything. Don't leave me. It's going to be okay." I whispered to him. I planted kisses on his head and whispered other sweet nothings while Virgil calmed down.
"Roman..." Virgil whispered again.
"Yeah?" He didn't say anything, he just closed his eyes. "Virgil?" I said, feeling panicky. He didn't respond.
"Virgil?" I said again, louder this time. His hand twitched slightly. His eyes opened again and this time they weren't glassy.
"Oh thank god." I whispered, relief washing over me. I hugged him tightly. Virgil slowly started moving.
He seemed exhausted and his breathing was still shallow. I was crying in relief now. The hardest part of it was over at least.
I ran my fingers through his hair. He was holding my hand, running his fingers over my knuckles.
"Are you feeling better now?" I asked him. He nodded.
"Roman?" Mumbled Virgil.
"Yeah?"
"I love you." He mumbled. I smiled, despite the tears.
"I love you too." I told him. I took my hand out of his hair and wiped all the tears off his face.
"We're going to my room." I told him, making up my mind. "You can't be in this room. It just makes you feel worse. All these negative feelings aren't good fo you."
