Annie woke up to the sun shining through her window. She opened her eyes sleepily and looked over at her calendar. June 1st! "Annieeee!!!!!" Hayley yelled from the hallway. Annie hid under her covers. Hayley shook her sister. "Hayley! Stop" she told her. "Ugh! You're so lazy!" She complained, then she left and went back to her own room. Annie sighed. May as well get up now. She looked at the clock: 8:30 Well. Anne got out of bed and got dressed. Then she brushed her hair and went to wash her face. When she was done, she went downstairs to eat breakfast. She got some cereal and orange juice. As she was eating, she looked through her Instagram. "Kenzie's 15th Birthday Party! 1 week away!" A reminder was in her feed. "L.A. Youth Lock-In! Friday, June 7th-Saturday June 8th" another reminder came in her feed. Oh right. The Lock-in. Up all night and then Kenzie's party the next day, well, same day technically. When she finished eating, she went back to her room. She brushed her teeth and texted Jayden:

J: Hi
                          
A: I'm bored
                          
J: You could always do our homework 
                          
A: ...
                          
J:😂
J: So you wanna do something?
                          
A: We could go to the beach 
                          
J:um
                          
A: You're right. I don't wanna go
                          
J:🤣
                          
A: We could to the pier
                          
J: But...
                          
A: Too close to the beach and then I'll want to go in and then I'll have to wash my hair and shower
                          
J: lol
                          
A: Okay maybe I don't want to do anything. It's just that this is my last month in L.A. And my mom keeps saying I should experience the last bits of it that I can 
                          
J: Me 
J: But you aren't moving till September, you have the summer
                          
A: Yeah but we're going to be away at that theatre camp the whole time
                          
J: Oh Ya! I'm super excited about that
                          
A: Same. Okay, maybe I'll just get ice cream with Asher or something 
                          
J: kk
                          
A: Byeee
                          
J: Do Homework!
                          
A: Noooooo
                          
Annie smiled and went to message Asher. 
                          
An: Hiiii
                          
As: Hey. 
                          
An: Do you want to do something today?
                          
As: Sure like what
                          
An: Idk I'm bored so like get ice cream and then sit and talk
                          
As: I'm heading over to your house now
                          
An: 😊 See you
                          
She went to put her hair in a ponytail and find some shoes. As she was walking downstairs, Hayley bumped into her; "heloooo. Where are you going?" She asked. "To the park with Asher." Annie answered. Hayley smiled. "Oooooo" Annie rolled her eyes and went down the stairs. "Mom! I'm going with Asher to the park!" She waited for her mom's reply. "Okay! Have fun! Be back by 2!" Katie told her. "Wait, why?" Annie asked. "We're having people over." Katie said. "Who?" Annie further questioned. "Surprise." Katie replied. "Ugh fine." Annie gave in as she opened the door and met Asher outside. 
                          
When they got to the park, Asher bought her Oreo ice cream and himself vanilla. "Thanks Asher." She told him. "You're welcome. Yours is way more expensive than mine though." He said. She playfully hit his arm. "That's cuz you're so boring and only like vanilla!" Asher rolled his eyes. They went and sat down at a table and talked for a while. "So. 2 1/2 more weeks of school left." Annie said. "For you." Asher replied. Annie gave him a confused look. "We only have 1 more week." He told her. "What!?" Annie exclaimed. Asher laughed. "For exams." "Ohhh." Annie realized. "After that it's off to camp right?" He checked. "Yup. You're going, right?" Annie made sure. "Yes yes yes, well." "Asher!!" He laughed. "I'm kidding. Of course I'm going. Singing, Dancing, Acting, with all of us kids? It's going to be like High School Musical but in the summer!" He said. Annie laughed. "Now I really want it to be summer!" She said. They talked for a little while more about school, summer and friends. When Annie turned her phone on,  she saw the time was 1:30. "Sorry, Asher I have to go." She told him. "Oh okay." He replied. "Do you want me to walk you home?" He offered. "No, that's okay, it's super close and don't you have something with your brother?" She reminded him. "Oh ya, thanks for reminding me." He thanked. "No problem." She laughed as she got her purse. She hugged him and started to walk towards her house.
                          
That night, after everyone left her house she lay down in her bed and went on her phone. She texted Jayden to see what torture was in store for her tomorrow.
                          
A: Hey, so what homework do we have this weekend?
                          
J: Socials pg. 186, Math Mid-Chapter and Science 3.4 on Tuesday
                          
A: Really? Science is due on Tuesday? 
                          
J: Ya but we still have so much!
                          
A: I'm starting to think we're lucky
                          
J: wdym?
                          
A: Asher was talking about exams and stuff today
                          
J: Oh you hung out with Asher?
                          
A: Ya. We got ice cream and just talked
                          
J: Nice 👍🏼 
                          
A: They get out a week earlier, but then they have all of their exams
                          
J: oof
                          
A: lol. Anyways I guess I'll do the homework tomorrow afternoon
                          
J: k. Don't procrastinate 
                          
A: Good night Jayden

A:😂
                          
Annie put down her phone, got up to plug it in outside in the hallway, and went back in her room to get ready for bed. As she fell asleep, she was thinking; "June 1st... check"
