knock knock
sniffling, eden stood up from her bed and walked to the door. she gave her eyes one final wipe before opening the door.
"hey, it's you again," she said once she saw the delivery boy standing in the hallway.
"yea," he replied, examining her red eyes. after contemplating whether he should say something about it or not, he decided against it. they didn't know each other well enough. "so you wanted cinnamon apple this time?"
she shrugged, wandering back inside the apartment in search for money. "i've never tried it, so i decided why not."
he bent down and tried to awkwardly tie his shoe single-handedly while his other hand clutched onto the warm box of waffles. "i listened to the death of me yesterday."
even though she was halfway across the apartment, eden immediately noticed the asking alexandria song. "really?
"yea."
"how'd you like it?"
...
"they scream too much."
she emerged from the room with a wallet in hand. "or maybe everyone else screams too little."
...
"that actually kind of makes sense."
"of course it does." she gave him some money and he gave her the waffles and her change.
"well. i guess i'll see you tomorrow?"
she smiled. "of course you will."
