Goldenkit lunged at the invading cat. He hissed and ran out of the way. Goldenkit landed with a thud and stumbled ungracefully. The other cat jumped at her, but Goldenkit managed to move out of the way. She quickly ran to the other side of the invading cat and raked her claws over his pelt. He yelped and ran away. Goldenkit yowled in triumph.
"Can't you kits be quiet?" Meadowshine complained, but her eyes were shining.
"Sorry Meadowshine!" Goldenkit apologized.
"Do I get an apology?" Duskpaw asked teasingly.
"I'm so sorry I beat you when we were fighting." Goldenkit said over dramatically. Duskpaw nodded. He grinned.
"Let's go again!" Goldenkit prepared to pounce, but Whiteshade came out of the warrior den and called Duskpaw over. He shrugged and left. Goldenkit walked into the nursery and quietly padded to her nest. Greykit looked up and yawned as Goldenkit.
"What were you doing?" He asked.
"Playing." Goldenkit closed her eyes, too tired to continue.
